My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a software engineer. Computers are really important to this generation: about 3.27 times more important than the average thing. All we need is one half-assed EMP blast, Kessler cascade, or CME and the whole infrastructure falls apart (+10,000 points if any of those things sound familiar to you). I suppose I know a tad about computers. Fortunately, people are paying me to do stuff with them -- with computers, not with people, unfortunately.

Outside of computers, electronics, and most things technology, I've the strongest penchant for stupid Internet, video game, movie, television, and book references, in that order (descending, of course). YouTube? Definitely. Reddit? Absolutely. If you have the intellectual inertia to reference something from more than a year ago, then you're flat-out awesome.

I'm a bit shy about new places. However, with enough energy and courage, I'll guardedly explore beaches, restaurants, parks, subways, mansions, castles, lakes, forests, mountains, space ships, so on and so forth. I pretty much love exploration almost as much as I love sleeping-in on Saturdays.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from college about two years ago and I am currently putting out fires. The only problem is that these fires are extremely complex and take anywhere from 1 minute to 1 year to extinguish.

I find the work really enjoyable and challenging. In fact, it's so enjoyable, that I've lost all temptation to make those long commutes to New York City.

I was considering applying to a Master's program, but right now I'm way more interested in working on cool stuff close to home.

I definitely want to have a family in the future (and play video games with my daughter and get made fun of by my son, or vice versa, you know, because gender roles). A lot of the money I am saving today is going toward this goal.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Diction and syntax, grammar and writing, and using parallelism incorrectly.

My thinking is a bit racy, but my speech is well formulated (unless sleep deprivation or rum is involved). Public speaking is terrifying, but I tend to pull it off with great confidence.

I have a tremendous capacity for remembering weird stories and things people have said. I also clap way too loudly.

I have very good coordination with anything involving a keyboard, mouse, or controller. My advantage in volleyball is a beautiful serve. My advantage in soccer, baseball, Frisbee, and football is that I love making a fool out of myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The red stuff on my face.

People also notice that I speak with a lot of fancy words.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(1) Friday Night Outings
(2) Glasses that are sleeping-in-them-proof
(3) A Watch
(4) [Re]organization
(5) People who tease me sarcastically
(6) Large farm animals
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How many different ways I can pronounce words wrong.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with my friends. I have a close-knit group that has been going out every Friday night for a long time.

We usually pick somewhere to eat and something to do. We've done anything from playing board games and sitting around a chimnea to having breakfast for dinner at IHOP and then making fun of infomercials and Family Feud until 4:00 in the morning. You won't believe half of the bullshit that we manage to come up with.
