I'm a Boston-born, Houston-raised guy with a severe case of cultural A.D.D. I spend a lot of time reading, watching, and listening to a variety of things, and then talking about what it all means. I try to say yes to new things as often as possible.

I moved to New York after stints in Australia and China. I loved living abroad, but can't see leaving here right now. The city offers so much that after three years I still feel like I've barely seen anything.

I'm very career motivated, but am trying to do my best to enjoy the last of my 20's (which is way too soon). I'm fortunate to have a group of like-minded but very different friends that keep things interesting.

I currently work for a major international newspaper doing a whole bunch of things - writing, copy editing, website management, and blogging. I'm somewhat addicted to current events and news.

Probably that I ask a lot of questions. I am usually genuinely interested in what people do and how they got there.

Books: I generally go for non-fiction, although I am extremely partial to Vonnegut. Read most recently - Lost in Shangri-La by Mitchell Zuckoff. Currently reading - Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman.

Movies: Anything with Nicolas Cage or Christopher Walken. Preferably a movie where Nicolas Cage does a Christopher Walken impression.

TV: Arrested Development, The Office, Extras, Futurama, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Family Guy, Louie, Modern Family, The Wire, Band of Brothers, The Wonder Years,

Music: Generally the good stuff, but I have my guilty pleasures (cough cough, Katy Perry)

Food: s'mores

Headphones/earbuds is number one and everything else is a distant second.
