My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Graphic designer/photographer doing the responsible thing and working for our area's largest employer. I enjoy traveling, adventures big and small, science fiction/fantasy/comics, politics, basketball, art installations, a wide range of music, and learning tidbits of random things.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I like to think of myself as a pretty decent photographer. Also I take pride in where I'm at now, vs what I was born into. Annnnnnnd I make a good cookie, apparently.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My expressive face, impossibly pale skin or current beard status?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Prefer science fiction based in reality, see Michael Crichton. Tend to spend more of my time reading the news, blogs, or comics, though.

Movies: Huge range from stupid comedies (Anchorman) to interesting indies (Eternal Sunshine) to big blockbusters (anything in the summer featuring people in spandex). And since I'm a comic reader, I'm totally in love with the Marvel line of movies at the moment.

Shows: I don't have cable, so I tend to catch up on shows well after they run. Wide range from Daily Show to Game of Thrones to Parks and Rec to Doctor Who. As long as it's a well done show in it's genre, I'll give it a shot. Specific shows I've liked (though not necessarily caught up on) include Breaking Bad, Dexter, Californication, Torchwood, HIMYM, Archer, Futurama.

Music: I fully admit it... I listen to lame music. Most of the music I enjoy is rock from the 60s to late 80s. I also enjoy powerful classical music, but know nothing about the genre (feel free to educate me!). Acoustic, Blues, Jazz, Heavy Metal, Bossa Nova, Progressive Rock and other genres all hit me during certain periods of inspiration as well. Spotify is my friend and helps me listen to random other music when the mood strikes. Update: Been browsing Spotify playlists a lot more lately, to hear new sounds. Haven't really latched on to a specific band yet, though, because it's hard to make note.

Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band, since that's a common question.

Food: Generally a meat and potatoes sort of guy, but I also really enjoy fresh fruits, smoothies and the like. I'm low maintenance when it comes to food haha. My favorite food of all time is the California Burrito, San Diego style.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Free time
Fresh air
Sense of humor
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How much I miss living on the west coast. Our broken lobbying and campaign finance systems (exciting, I know). Where to go next with my limited vacation hours.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I prefer Saturday mornings to Friday nights. I tend to have pretty relaxed Friday nights, so I can go get breakfast some place nice, and take a walk, or go hiking on Saturday morning.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You don't take yourself too seriously, yet take your responsibilities seriously. You enjoy hiking, and adventures big or small, nerdy things, the arts, or you just want to say hi.
