The secret to my happiness: Dentistry. Strange? Yes. Frightening? Yes. Oh so cool? Yes. And an artistic field? Indeed.
Besides that goal, I absolutely love antiquity, intricacy, orange iron, green copper, white zinc, history, food, books, museums, parks, trees, bushes, sprouts, seeds, axillary buds, rhizomes, roots, gravitropism, Rhizobia, nitrogen fixation,... Hmm. Yes! Life is lovely.
The mundane aspects of life that hold so much exquisite detail, are the parts I find most compelling.
I am a very open minded and hobby obsessed person. I fancy having shelves full of notebooks detailing the trials and recipes for what I have done. So far, I have filled it with blank notebooks.
Every year I make gifts for my friends for the holiday season. In 2010 it was ginger infused vodka; in 2011, it was vanilla extract; in 2012, it was mead. This year, it is another mead: sickly sweet, spiced Strawberry.
Claiming any sort of mastery, or even a sense of understanding is not within my ability; furthermore, finding fortune from failing fuels my fun. As well as alliteration.
I am pretty good at following a baking recipe. During my childhood, there was not anyone who would bake when I wanted baked goods. To remedy such horribleness, I learned how to create pastries and baked goods.
Tagging along with my honey fermentation experiments is the exploration of fermented foods as a whole. I am quite the prolific Kefir grains cultivator, sauerkraut mixer, and kombucha mushroom caretaker.
I bought a living bottle of Kombucha from Edible Alchemy, and grew a SCOBY. They are called mothers, and look like a thick gelatin disc. I love it, for I am not bound by expensive commercial bottles that dictate what flavors I must enjoy.
I have since branched to another ferment: Sriracha! It is a short fermentation involving brown sugar and chilies.
I enjoy wonderful snarky comments, and a playfully surreal banter.

My most favorite of films involve pretty lights, pretty people, and desiccated humor. I like other stuff too!!
