My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born in Boston but my heart belongs to a doctor I met in NYC.

These summaries are a lot harder than they should be. I wonder if anyone ever pays someone else to write these, like those people who write college essays.

If you know of any, I'm always down to go to a new bookstore.

I enjoy long walks on the beach, lying under the stars, and a frightening fear of death.

I think a sense of humor might be the most important thing in the world. Could save the world. Imagine if all the world's dictators had instead decided to be stand up comedians. I bet Mussolini had some great one liners.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm getting my MFA in film right now (writing and directing movies, not studying them). I went in straight out of undergrad, where I also studied film. If you know Spielberg or JJ Abrams give them a ring for me.

Thinking about what it'd be like if I had a cat. Wishing I had a cat. Dreaming about having a cat. I really want a cat.

Even though I study film, I pinky promise I'm not a film snob.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Modesty. Like crazy good. Maybe the best.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My beard is a different color than the rest of my hair. I have my red-haired jewish grandmother to thank for that. Thanks, Olga.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Deciding which movie theatre in the city is the best. IFC has the best seats, but Film Forum has the best movies. Decisions, decisions.

The fact that cupcakes are just mini cakes.

UPDATE: Axl Rose is the rose in Guns and Roses! But then who is the gun?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking with friends, editing, writing, seeing movies, on set, seeing friends.

You want to. I'm not your boss.

You want to start a family band.

You're interested in incredibly faithful reenactments of the last episode of Seinfeld.

Chatting here is fun, but meeting up after a few messages is more fun.
