My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hmm...What to say.

I asked my friends to describe me since I'm not proficient in talking about myself. I am told that I am smart, sweet, kind, warm-hearted, friendly, bright, clever, witty, opinionated, passionate, generous, brave, fearless, cocky, a bit of a brat, and fiercely loyal and protective. I'm told that I'm as squeakily clean as a boy scout but as naughty as a kid who just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. My judo sparring partner once said that I was a "Samurai with Ninja tendencies." Me, I'd like to think that I'm a great friend to have because I'm just fun to be with and I'll always have your back.

I have a great job that tends to keep me pretty busy. However, that doesn't mean that I don't take time for myself or for the people that are important to me. I make sure to keep my weekends and some nights free. I need time to just unwind and relax too.

I'm an avid movie buff and I'm a fan of food. I like going to the movies and checking out new places to eat. My favorite places to go are small, little mom and pop places. I find that they tend to have the best kind of food. I like movies that allow me to just tune out and lose myself in the film for the next couple of hours.

I am naturally curious and love science and technology. However, I'm not a snob nor do I belittle anyone without a science background. I just think its cool to learn about how the world and all that is in it works.

I have been told that I wear my heart on my sleeve. I suppose that is true, but its only because I'm pretty passionate. I've always believed in the saying: Go hard or Go home. If you're gonna do something, always do the best that you can and get it done right the first time. I'm not perfect, rather far from it. I have made plenty enough mistakes but have always strive to learn and grow from them.

I consider myself fairly liberal but there are some things that I'm pretty conservative on. I tend to find myself in the middle when it comes to politics, and I believe that there must always be room for discussion and compromise. It really is too bad that our government has come to what it is now.

I like to go out on the weekends but sometimes I'm pretty happy just hanging out at home and watching movies or TV or getting some video game playing time in. I like to shop (window or otherwise) but I try to stay within my means. I will definitely spend money like it was going out of style, if the situation warrants it, otherwise, I don't spend what I don't have.

I try to be generous when I can and I try to help people when I can (again, there's that boy scout part of me).

I try to stay current with what is happening in the world but I do not follow celebrity gossip. I certainly do not keep up with the Kardashians and I don't follow reality shows. I appreciate shows with good writing and storytelling, although action and special effects are an important factor too.

I find myself wondering and discussing this particular topic with friends: Is it really that difficult to find a nice, simple girl who wants to find a nice, attentive, and devoted man? Although my female friends can't really speak for the entire female populace of the Bay Area, they tell me that women are no longer as simple as they used to be. While I would agree with that statement, I believe that it is not entirely correct. I think that there are women that would like to find a nice, attentive, and devoted man to share their life, its just that they are pretty rare, thus making them really special.

I can keep talking but I'd rather have this talk in person. Part of the fun in dating is discovering all there is to know about the other person. If there is something you wanna know about me, all you have to do is ask. I'll pretty much answer anything as long as I have the answers. I am quite honest, sometimes too honest (I think people shouldn't ask questions that they don't want answered) and I keep all my promises (I only make promises to things that I know I can keep).

So if you're still reading this summary and find it interesting, go ahead and message me. I always answer any message I get. Thanks for looking, take care!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been an educator for almost 14 years now. I just started my 15th year in education working as a Middle School Teacher while currently working as a Consultant for a medical device company. I create training materials for them and have a great time hanging out with all the great people there.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people smile, maybe even laugh. I'm also pretty good with random trivia, tinkering with stuff, puzzles, and having a good time. I'm told I'm a pretty good cook, but I'd rather do the eating than the cooking. Although I can keep a good conversation, I better at being a good listener.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, my smile, and my laid back demeanor. Most of the time I don't really try to stand out. I like to just be laid back and chill. If people wanna get to know me, all they have to do is strike up a conversation with me and ask stuff.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Gosh, there are so many favorites I can list... here we go:

To Kill a Mockingbird, Bridge to Terabithia, Tuck Everlasting, A Wrinkle in Time, Harry Potter, Eragon, Manga (specifically Negima, Bleach, Dance in the Vampire Bund, and Rosario + Vampire), The Artemis Fowl Series (or anything by Eion Colfer), The Percy Jackson Series (or anything by Rick Riordan), The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, A Song of Fire and Ice series by George R. R. Martin, and Why We Suck by Dennis Leary. I also listen to audio books, usually on the drive home or as I write material for work.

Star Wars (the original trilogy), Serenity, The Matrix, and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, 300, Faceoff, Spaceballs, American Pie, and Eurotrip. I'm also a fan of Disney films, including Pixar films or animations by Dreamworks or Japanese Animation (Anime).

John Stewart, Black Sails, Game of Thrones, Da Vinci's Demons, True Blood, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, The Walking Dead, Toonami, Anime, Robot Chicken, How Its Made, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Football (when its in season).

80's Pop, House, Trance, Chill Music, Jazz, a little Classical, Dance, and the occasional Rap album. I also listen to NPR, my favorite programs are Radio Lab and This American Life.

I am pretty much open to eating anything. I love steak but I also love sushi, thai food, pho, italian, chinese, burgers, and pizza. I don't think of myself as a foodie, I just like what tastes good to me. Oh, I'm also a sucker for chocolate. Whether its in a cookie, a cake, a brownie, or a bar... chocolate is my kryptonite!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order...
- my friends
- The TV
- My PS3
- My computer
- a really good knife to prepare meals with
- my car
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I'd like to have my next vacation and maybe who I can take with me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually at home after a long day at work, at the movies with friends, or at happy hour with the guys from work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ask me and I'll tell you.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You read my entire profile and you like what you see. You think geeks are cool. You like having a good time. Oh, bonus points if you're a fan of Game of Thrones, Star Wars, or Anime.

You should message me if you want to make a new friend and maybe see if it will lead to something more. You actually would eventually like to meet up in person. Emails and texts are okay but after a while it would be nice to talk in person.

You should definitely message me if you would like to meet a nice, attentive, and devoted man who isn't into playing games and is looking for an adult and relatively drama-free relationship.
