My Self-Summary

It's one of the most profoundly difficult things in the world to encapsulate the whole of your personality in a short summary for strangers to read, so I don't know that I'm going to try particularly hard.

What I’m doing with my life

I have three semesters left of my undergrad and I am all sorts of ready to be done and be, like, a real adult.

I’m really good at

watching TV, being a mallrat, competitive debate, the culinary arts, keeping things in perspective, keeping things light, being cuddly.

The first things people usually notice about me

My internal censor doesn't work particularly well.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, The Great Gatsby, The Sun Also Rises, The Razor's Edge, Harry Potter (3-7-6-5-4-1-2)

Movies: Return of the Jedi, Garden State, Moulin Rouge, Chasing Amy, The Shawshank Redemption, Major League, Zoolander...I have a giant pile of DVDs.

Food: Love, love, love fine dining and love to cook. I'm open to any and everything. My favorite restaurant in the area is probably 1111 Mississippi. I love Indian food, Thai food, Mexican food if it's somewhat authentic and cheap margaritas are involved.

Music: I figure I'll do this nontraditionally, because I always feel like I'm leaving bands out. So, my top 15 most listened to songs on iTunes are -

15. "Sleazy Wednesday" by Jack's Mannequin
14. "Kill The Messenger (acoustic)" by Jack's Mannequin
13. "Ba Ba Ba (live)" by Fun
12. "Dog Problems" by The Format
11. "She Doesn't Get It" by The Format
10. "Cape Canaveral" by Conor Oberst
9. "Crack The Shutters" by Snow Patrol
8. "Dear Jack (live)" by Jack's Mannequin
7. "A Day In The Life" by The Beatles
6. "Sunday Best" by Augustana
5. "Cell Phone" by Jack's Mannequin
4. "Hey Hey We're All Gonna Die (live)" by Jack's Mannequin
3. "Doris Day" by Jack's Mannequin
2. "Piano Man" as played by Andrew McMahon
1. "The Gambler (live)" by Fun

The six things I could never do without

1. MacBook
2. iPod
3. The St. Louis Cardinals
4. The St. Louis Blues
5. My cousins
6. Oxygen

I spend a lot of time thinking about

the best ways to pass the time, who's going to play second or the Cardinals, what restaurants I haven't tried yet, what movies I haven't seen, and what nonsense I can get myself in to.

On a typical Friday night I am

at either Houlihan's, Laredo or Shogun eating and drinking, and then at my friend's apartment for shenaniganry and Rock Band.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can lick my own elbow.

You should message me if

you would like me to say hello.
