I am a novice internet dater, and dating in general. I've had a few long-term relationships, but I'm working on getting myself out there. Obviously, I can commit, though I imagine I'm not opposed to a fling should the right situation arise. I am a proud geek - I play videogames AND read comics. Dare you continue reading? I revel in a good argument. One of my favourite things to do, actually, would be argue. I am less mature than I am old, but wise beyond my years - does that make sense? I suppose I fancy myself as something of a wordsmith... Wow, that was impossibly arrogant. Lets see how much worse this train wreck can get... I overuse elipses, I love to laugh, and I can make you laugh too. I live with my dog, Bigby. I am confident(to a fault?), and enjoy just being with people. I'm also not-so-secretly a hopeless romantic.
I'm probably the most flexible person you're liable to meet-changes don't seem to phase me. You know in the martial arts movies how the sensei tells the kid he's gotta flow like water, or bend like the grass in the wind? That's me. Water=grass=me.

...That sounded better in my head.

I have a son who turned one in mid-May. He was effectively left on my doorstep when he was born, and we're trying to work out the single dad thing together. We aren't looking for a mommy or anything like that, but if you're worried about getting involved in his life as a result of getting in mine, that's cool.

I am caring, fun, and seeking someone new

Working, and working out just what it is I'm going to do with the rest of my life.
Figuring out fatherhood.

Listening, talking, arguing,(surprising how much one can fuel the other), grammar, romantic gestures.

Depending on how little sleep I've gotten, my erratic behaviour. The baby I'm carrying. My ring - it's very cool.

Books: Everything by Lawrence Block-incredible mystery writer, builds tension and excitement like nobody I've read; Chuck Palahniuk; comic books - mostly DC & Marvel, but I read the smaller-press & non-cape stuff as well

Movies: Fight Club. It's become a tradition for me to watch it as early as I can at the start of each new year. Anything Johnny Depp; anything Parker/Stone; anything Christopher Nolan; I loved Old School, it still kills me every time, but on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Moulin Rouge was amazing. I got tricked into watching that one and was swept into the story; Also, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and Million Dollar Baby, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Jerk

Music: I have terrible taste in music. I like what I'm told is the good stuff and the classics well enough, but I LOVE a good song-by-numbers, that mathematically produced pop music that usually takes up the top ten. It turns out, that stuff is scientifically addictive, so in a way, being a non-smoker/non-drinker, pop music is my vice

Food: Sadly, I eat WAAAY too plainly-I've got really boring tastes. A decent slice of pizza is my standby. I'm willing to try new things, and have been slowly expanding my tastes

In no particular order:
- Information-about anything, really. I seek as much as I can get.
- Clever dialogue(on the page, or in conversation)
- Contact-I have a need to touch
- My Xbox-it plays my movies, games, and music
- Podcasts-a great background, and a source of information
- My mind-I don't know that I'd be content not thinking the way I do(but then again, how would I know?)

What I wanna be when I grow up

Seeing a movie or playing games with friends, though work occasionally fills that timeslot

I have very specific plans to get a tattoo in two years. I believe I've settled on a final design, so concept and timeframe are locked in. Ask me about it.
