I am creative, funny, and love the outdoors.
My Self-Summary
I was born in Sacramento to wonderful art teacher parents. I'm an
only child. For college I went to Humboldt State and lived among
the redwoods and hippies for four years while I got my art degree.
After college I moved to San Francisco were I started working in
art galleries. The big city kicked my behind, though, and after
about a year I moved back to Sacramento. Since returning to my home
town I've reconnected with a lot of really cool friends, had some
great jobs working in galleries, owned my own gallery. Now I work
for the KVIE Art Auction. I'm a pretty optimistic person. I also do
"artist coaching" where I work with artists to help them in their
careers. I am also an artist, myself, and sometimes make a little
money on that, too, but it's mostly just a creative outlet.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for the local PBS station and it's annual televised art
auction.
I’m really good at
Painting, drawing, crafting, singing, gardening, camping, horseback
riding, yoga, and being a good friend. I am trying to get better at
the guitar and at writing. I like really good conversations about
anything under the sun and I love humor and intellect.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think I have really pretty eyes, hopefully other people do, too.
I'm curvy - in a good way - like the secretary from Mad Men.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My new favorite movie is Into the Wild. My favorite book is Life of
Pi. I like rock music mostly, but like a lot of different types of
music. I like eating healthy and eating chocolate, but am not a
picky eater, so I'll try anything once.
The six things I could never do without
My friends and family, coffee, nature, music, my journal, netflix,
my cowboy boots.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to better myself and the planet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends at the pub, or watching movies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Ha, ha, very funny
You should message me if
you are an open, honest person. Also, you must consider yourself to
be in Generation X. No Babyboomers, sheesh!
