My Self-Summary
Hey, I'm Jeski. :) Also known as Jess, or Pana. I live with my two
year old daughter Pandora in a little townhouse in Sydney's inner
west. I'm not a particularly conventional person & hence prefer
hanging out with my alternative/geeky friends rather than other
mums. :P I used to be a big fan of anime/conventions/costuming but
not so much anymore. Nowadays I play World of Warcraft and other PC
games (atm I'm liking Bioshock a lot), draw, read fantasy books, go
out clubbing or just for drunken shenanigans on the weekends, make
silver jewellery, and do lots & lots of housework (2 year olds
can be pretty destructive ><).
What I’m doing with my life
Pandora's just started preschool - Montessori where they take kids
from 2 - so I'm studying a certificate III in children's services
while she's there three days a week. I'm also currently doing an 8
week short course in silver jewellery making.. Can't really decide
if I want to do childcare or creative stuff for a career. Perhaps
both :D
I’m really good at
drawing and arty stuff in general, though I need more practise. Art
stuffs at kajessii.deviantart.com, critiques are always welcome. :)
I'm extremely good at procrastinating. :D I like to think I'm
pretty good at playing my priest (Panadoll) in World of Warcraft
(though I don't play nearly as much these days as I used to).
The first things people usually notice about me
probably my big eyes, or my labret, or my currently pink hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(a)books: I like fantasy, and some sci-fi. Anything by Terry
Pratchett, Isobelle Carmody, or John Wyndham. I'm also a fan of
Orson Scott Card's Ender series, and I've just started reading
Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, which seems pretty good so
far. And I quite like manga too :3
(b)movies: I don't actually go to the movies much at all, though I
usually enjoy it when I do. My favourite movie is The Dark Crystal.
I also like Labyrinth, The Neverending Story, Mirrormask, and other
fantasy movies to a lesser extent.
(c)music: My music tastes are a bit eclectic, but I mostly listen
to big beat electro. The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy
Slim, The Crystal Method, etc.
(d)foods: I definitely have a sweet tooth >< I love almost
anything sweet. ^_^
The six things I could never do without
pandora, a mechanical pencil, sleep, a feather doona, my computer,
umm.. cake :D
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I want to do with my life zzz -_-
On a typical Friday night I am
either... relaxing at home playing games or drawing, or getting out
for some drunkenness with friends :D
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm pretty lonely a lot of the time.
