My self-summary
I'm a musician/artist that moved to St Paul somewhat recently. Bought my first house and I'm loving the heck out of it. I know most people say that about their first houses, but they don't have a new front porch thanks to a timely fire shortly after moving in. It's a pretty interesting story if anyone cares to hear it. Thanks to a couple of irresponsible inebriated friends, I was awarded a fresh paint job and a brand new porch. I went with brick red...good choice. Ha! So far this doesn't really seem like much of a self-summary. That crap's boring anyway. Do you really think anybody does an accurate analysis of themselves? Maybe we should all have our friends do this for us. Then the information might be vaguely useful. The unfortunate thing about dating websites is we're trying to gather as much information as possible from these tiny auto-biographical snippets of information, when we all know that it isn't really possible to know anything true about a person without spending a considerable amount of time with them. Thus the quandary. You can probably learn the most about someone on these sites by seeing what they're into (see below). Purely fact-based material. I hope if you've made it this far, you realize this was all written tongue-in-cheek.

Props to all of you who aren't taking this dating website business too seriously. I mean, I'm here for the same reason you are, but this is all a bit silly. I'm having a great time laughing at myself.
What I’m doing with my life
Discovering St. Paul. On the verge of the first breakthrough in my efforts to become an Environmental Paralegal. Wish me well, I won't bore you with the details.

I have a lot of ideas, but neither the know how, nor the time to see them all through. Very frustrating. Probably better than not having any ideas though eh?

I try to stay active. My version of exercise is playing basketball or football, going for a long walk or bike ride, or swimming. I haven't really tried just running. I kinda feel like I need to be running for a reason which is why I partake in sports. Simply running down the street doesn't appeal to me. Perhaps I can be convinced otherwise.
I’m really good at
I have a vivid imagination which makes for a lot of fun, unique, in-depth conversations. I'm also a very level-headed person. I tend to be the one that my friends seek out when they need advice on any given subject. I'm also really good at getting along with just about anybody. I tend to find something I like in just about everyone.

The first things people usually notice about me
I have an animated and sarcastic sense of humor. I'm constantly joking around. There are few things that come out of my mouth on a regular basis that are to be taken literally which is tough to convey via script. Otherwise, I have no idea. Maybe my awesomeness.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I constantly have songs in my head. Concepts. Theoretical nonsense. I try really hard to look at any given subject from as many different angles as possible to develop new perspectives. What the future looks like given our current social/political issues. Lately, I've been a bit consumed with this environmentalist business. I've been looking at everything that I do and seeing how much waste there is in my life. I'm currently doing what I can to change that but it can be pretty tough. I also see a lot of potential in everyone around me to make small changes in their lives in order to effectuate some of the change necessary in our current dilemma. Honestly, I don't get preachy about this stuff, just spend a lot of time thinking about it. (see question) :)
On a typical Friday night I am
On Fridays I typically stay in, kill a few micro brews and take in a few movies. Saturday is my night to go out. Usually go to a local show, hit the bar or a restaurant with some friends, or get the heck out of town. I have several friends and family members with cabins in the area that I tend to frequent as much as possible, even if it's only for a night. When it's nice out I try and get to all of the outdoor events in the cities. I really look forward to those. Ooh! I heard there is a Beer Dabbler downtown St. Paul at the end of January. Bonus if you're planning on going. I've never done anything like that in the winter. Could be interesting.

One of my favorite winter activities is to go to my friend's cabin and sit the porch all night with the wood stove burning and watch deer eat at the feeders. It's perfectly awesome.
