My self-summary
I love baseball and practically grew up at Dodger Stadium. Music wise: Indie/Folk Music and Classic Rock. I studied English and History in college, and got my MA in English. I teach English and am a lecturer at a few colleges. I love my job.

I know what I want out of my life now I just have to get it!

I hate playing games, so if you're still in that player stage of life best keep looking to the next profile. And please don't message if you're just looking for a hook-up or are significantly out of my age range (as in either too young or too old).
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching, reading, writing, hanging out with my awesome friends and family.
I’m really good at
...most things that I do.

...and being modest, obviously I kid, I kid.
The first things people usually notice about me that I'm super outgoing and friendly.

And I've got a really random sense of humor, but a good's not too hard to make me laugh, I especially appreciate irony.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It's hard to ask a former english major what her favorite book is...that's like asking a parent who her favorite kid is.

Music: I'm indie rock and classic rock. Ray LaMontagne is my favorite artist (bonus points if you know who he is) and yeah I'll admit I'm hopping on the American Idol train and I really like Phillip Phillips who won last year. I'm also starting to like some country music. I'm not talking about all that Honky-Tonk stuff- more like Lady Antebellum and Zac Brown Band ("Jolene" by Zac Brown is an awesome song and it's a remake of my favorite song- "Jolene" by Ray La Montagne). Check it out!

Movies: Shawshank redemption, Get Him to the Greek, Love Actually, Forrest Gump. I guess these are combinations of serious dramas and comedies.

TV: New Girl, Big Bang Theory, Lost (before it crapped out in what has to be the worst television finale in the history of tv), and Breaking Bad was the best thing on television; even if I feel iffy about the ending...
The six things I could never do without
In random order....
1. Oxygen.
2. My friends.
3. My family.
4. a good book to read while listening to good music in the background.
5. A little drive up the 101 North- it's a nice little break to have once and awhile and a great way to relax.

6. Coffee. I tried to stop but it didn't really work for that long. I blame starbucks and coffee bean.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I have a random train of thought, but also a good sense of humor... so any number of things. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing after a long week of driving, grading, more driving and more grading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I find Gollum from Lord of the Rings to be terrifying.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 26–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if have successful read this far and would like to learn more. :-)

or if you can manage to hold an intellectually stimulating conversation/discussion

or if you know you're a bit nerdy and are proud of it (lol).

or if you've found that you love classic rock and have found yourself singing Journey at the top of your lungs in your car on one or more occasions (lol).

or if you think a baseball game sounds like fun.

or are any combination of the above mentioned.

Note: Only messages from straight, single men please. I'm not judging anyone but I'm not interested in dating girls or bi-guys.
