I am passionate, curious, and funny as hell.

My Self-Summary

I thought instead of trying to sum myself up in a blurb, I would give you 10 interesting little tidbits and then you can draw your own conclusions...

1. My heroes growing up were Leonard Bernstein, Lucille Ball, Jack Benny, and She-Ra.

2. On three different occurrences, I have confronted someone who has gone as me for Halloween.

3. I wear a scarf almost everyday.

4. When I imagine heaven, there is always yellow cocktail music, played by Bobby Short, Ethel has a Gin and Tonic with a cucumber waiting for me at the bar.

5. I am PBS junkie.

6. Sarah Palin gives me nightmares. Still.

7. I moved into my current apartment because it reminded me of Paris.

8. I use words like "maudlin," "exquisite," and "demure." Often.

9. I have contemplated a brooch.

10. I think Kim Stanley is magic.

What I’m doing with my life

I am an artist, an actor, and a writer. I work on a monthly queer comedy show and am working on a one man show about beauty.

I’m really good at

a clever retort, arguing politics, dancing(I am a great lead), trying new things, making a mean Latke, crying at the ballet, invariably cursing in front of children, and well, I am great kisser.

The first things people usually notice about me

My voice, my intonation and accent are unique but funny.
Then my hair.
Then my eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books -
Cheri and The Last of Cheri by Colette,
The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison,
This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald,
Eva Le Gallienne by Helen Sheehy,
The Beautiful Room is Empty by Edmund White

Movies -
Now Voyager,
The Royal Tenenbaums,
The Brothers Bloom,
The Talented Mr. Ripley,
Grey Gardens

Music (at the moment)
Dusty Springfield,
The Avett Brothers,
Cecilia Bartoli,
Justin Bond,
Sarah Vaughan

Food
love to cook, try new things
but love French or Mexican Food the best.

The six things I could never do without

My Ipod,
My Keats,
My Fantastic Friends,
My art,
beautiful Language,
fascinating humanity.

It sounds high felootin' but I didnt want to put my comforter, which is divine, or late night pizza from joe's.
But both are pretty great

I spend a lot of time thinking about

why I end up answering all these questions about myself.

On a typical Friday night I am

out at a show, or having a drink with friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

you are going to have to work a little harder than that to get anything out of me.

You should message me if

you are kind, curious, artistic, and fun.
If you are gorgeous too that never hurt anybody.
