I am facetious, empathetic, and analytical.

My Self-Summary

I have an amazing boyfriend whom I love very much, so I am not interested in finding someone to date... I think this site has interesting quizzes and if I make a friend or two along the way then that's even better... especially if you are from Kansas City. Caleb and I will be moving there next summer so he can attend UMKC for Graduate school. I will hopefully be attending within the next few years for Nursing school!

My career options are all aimed at helping people, but I am also prone to bouts of misanthropy. The more I learn about psychology, the more frustrated I get about the commonly accepted patterns in relationships (parent/child, romantic, etc) that cause a lot more harm than people realize....and thus I just tend to hate people. =) I work very hard at being not being HYPERcritical, but can use this power of bitchiness for good in the right situation. Basically, don't be a narcissistic, closed-minded ass and we'll get along okay.

I don't have a problem with people believing different things than I, but if your only argument is "no, you're wrong cuz I'm right," then there is no point wasting anyone's time.

What I’m doing with my life

Working a lot, trying to save money. My Tae Kwon Do has been temporarily put on the back burner because I moved to McPherson in March. I just got my Certified Nursing Assistant card in May and am now in a Certified Medication Assistant class. When I'm not at work I'm typically either sleeping, spending time with friends and/or Caleb or kicking things. Sometimes all 3 at the same time.

I started off majoring in Psychology at KSU. After a few years I decided to take some time off and look into other schools and have since changed trajectories. My ultimate goal is to be a Psychiatric Nurse and an on-call Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.

I haven't been very outgoing since I moved to McPherson so I don't know many people besides people from work, my live-in boyfriend and my clients (most of which are 85+ years old and have Alzheimer's). I usually get so much "social time" (and exercise enough patience) during the week that, on my day off, I really need a day to myself to de-stress and recharge the batteries.

I’m really good at

Training horses
Singing
Alienating uptight people
Empathizing
Intelligent debate
Roundhouse kicks
Psychoanalysis
Sarcasm
Writing

The first things people usually notice about me

I haven't really asked anyone, but I'm guessing it would be something about my long red hair (it's more natural than the red in my pictures). I often get compliments about my green eyes. Other than that, I guess it depends upon the situation. And as far as non-physical features, my sarcasm, bluntness and -- in the right situation -- complete lack of tact, are pretty hard to miss.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I never seem to have enough time to read for pleasure as much as I'd like, but when I do it's typically something psychology-related. I prefer researching on my own over learning in a classroom. Lately I've been getting back into David Sedaris, the man is amazing.

I'm not a movie person. At all. If you can find a movie that I like, then you instantly succeed at life. TV on the other hand...I enjoy off-color or morbid comedy. Nip/Tuck, Drawn Together, Family Guy, Scrubs, Metalocalypse and Aqua Teen Hunger Force are my favorites.

Food....I have ovaries, so I like chocolate. And fish because it's good for your brain. Everything else I could take or leave.

The six things I could never do without

Water
Oxygen/gas exchange
The sun
Sex
Oxytocin/close friends
My cell phone (sadly enough)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Psychology, relationships, sex, horses, improving my financial situation, random offensive stuff, Caleb, Tae Kwon Do and considering the fastest way to get things done so I can get my ass back in bed. :) I like to think about what makes people tick...and, in some cases, how to make them stop ticking.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Very few things are private with me. What do you want to know?

You should message me if

you live in McPherson, we have something in common and/or you enjoy sarcasm.
