What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as an industrial designer and have a really unique and exciting job that has the potential to lead into an awesome career. Some of what I do involves digitally planning facial reconstruction surgeries in combination with 3d printing to improve patient outcomes.

In university industrial design was my major, but I did almost as much work in computing science as my minor. I am at times explosively creative, and others rigidly logical.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing, digital sculpture, rendering, and everything and anything to do with computers.

I have 5 3d printers at my work and am obsessed with the technology. I'm planning to build my own FDM printer. I'm also talking with a friend about working together on a global illumination rig for extremely high resolution 3d scanning.

I've played the guitar since I was a kid. Started out with classical lessons but now mostly just play rock songs for fun. I play lots of Red hot chilli peppers, Beatles, Neil young, and tons of others. I designed my own glass guitar for a school project in my final year of university.

In my opinion you're not a man if you can't barbecue. I recently discovered I could cook my own chow mein, i also make some killer eggs. I'm also great at both burning and undercooking certain foods at the same time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a quiet and friendly guy. However, once I open up to people I become quite gregarious.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite book of all time is Enders Game. I tend to enjoy dystopian novels as well. Also loved Pillars of the Earth, The Gunslinger (most Stephen King books), John Irving, and i love how often Holden Caulfield calls everyone a phony in Catcher in the Rye.

I watch lots of movies so it is difficult to pick a favourite but the Big Lebowski is up there. Some other favourites are Amelie, Persepolis, Truman Show, Inglorious Basterds, Star Trek, Star Wars.
If you have never seen "The Room" by Tommy Wiseau then that will be required viewing for you, I'll bring the spoons.

My favorite show right now is Breaking Bad, the concept and execution are top notch, and Bryan Cranston just kills it. I also enjoy Mad Men, Walking Dead (AMC fanboy i guess), Archer, Community, Parks and Recreation, Daily Show, Arrested Development, South Park when it was good, and Weeds.

For a while I watched alot of British television shows like Life's too short, Little Britain (Eh Uh Aaaaaah!), Outnumbered, Misfits, and IT crowd.

Video Games
Hitman was my favorite but the newest (absolution) left me feeling a bit disappointed after waiting 6 years for it to come out.
Jedi Knight II is probably next in line, I can't believe they haven't made another one. If done right a new Jedi Knight game would blow the competition out of the water. I think Kyle Katarn is one of the most interesting characters in all of Star Wars.

Right now I'm suffering from beatlemania. I'm learning to play the abbey road medley on guitar and am going to try to do a recording soon.
Some other favorite bands are Metric, REM, Weezer, Coldplay, Neil Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cage the Elephant, Simon and Garfunkel, Elton John, Eagles, The Doors, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, etc.

I'm a sucker for Asian food of all kinds. I like most things except peppers, canned corn, and pineapple on pizza. Shrimp and bacon pizza is my favourite.

I love apples but hate apple juice, I love orange juice but hate oranges go figure.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Guitars
Free time to think of crazy new ideas.
Loving my work
Good stand up comedy
Bacon + beer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future, how to get to where I want to go, and where that is.

I also spend a lot of time spotting Comic Sans being used in inappropriate places. My most recent Comic Sans discovery is in the Edmonton Public Library checkout system. It's a virus and it is literally everywhere.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Learning to play some new music, hanging out where the night takes me, designing, artwork, just having a good time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told I'm an exceptionally good singer, but I'm extremely shy about it.
