My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born and raised in the middle of Baltimore. I've left and come back a few times. Went to college for a few years in the middle of nowhere and I couldn't take it so I transferred to New York for a few years, then back to Baltimore. I ran away to try and get into the film business in New Orleans. Spent a few years there. Now I'm back.

I am extremely spontaneous yet stick to routines...Sometimes i buy plane tickets in the middle of the night after hitting the same three or four bars i regularly visit. I write about life and photograph my experiences. I'm not pretentious, unless it comes to movies, music, and art. Right now I"m really into watching French and Italian films from the fifties and sixties. Those are the best, nice and bleak pictures of life.

Haven't updated this in a while..
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Got my degree in photography so I've waited tables, worked construction, and most recently got some work as a stagehand.

I have had some of my photographs published, just didn't get paid for it.
I'm also waiting for the next trip I can make. A few years ago, I went to Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, the Netherlands, back through the UK and Ireland. I want to fly back there as soon as I can. Until I have enough saved to do that, I very much enjoy 2 or 3 day road trips in efforts to explore this strange country as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It used to be my beard, but i trimmed that down signicantly, maybe they notice my height, though 6'3 isn't crazy tall....sometimes people notice my old camera around my neck. I still shoot film and am somewhat of a Luddite. I have a box of prints I like to carry around instead of showing pictures on the internet.

photo books: 25 under 25 up and coming american photographers (cause i'm in it), the americans by robert frank, american photographs by walker evans, tulsa by larry clark, anything by eugene atget, william henry emerson, the sound i saw by roy decarava...and many more

word books: A farewell to arms, most hemmingway novels are great, Crime and Punishment, the merger (the conglomeration of international organized crime), the sound and the fury, kurt vonnegut, sophocles, the savage detectives...these are just off the top of my head. Been liking this thich nhat hanh fellow.

I love the Cable Guy even though its a terrible movie, I've seen all of the AFI top 100 list circa 1997 and 2007, I love film, the Italians do it best, old French films are great as well, i consider meeting pee wee herman as one of my life's biggest his movie and tv show
as per television...the wire is the best series ever made, twin peaks, californication, no reservations, scrubs, entourage, rescue me, walking dead, it's always sunny (up until this season-I did get to wait on Charlie, the waitress, and Artemis once), breaking bad...

music top 5, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Tom Waits, Neil Young, John Lee Hooker...I've been stuck listening to lots of Little Anthony and the Imperials, Julian Casablancas and Songs: Ohia, also Skip James and Blind Blake. Sometimes I get stuck on New Order/ Joy Division and the Psychadelic Furs for weeks on end or the Wu-Tang Clan and Kid Cudi. Right now I could listen to the Good Will Hunting soundtrack every day. Al Green and Elliott Smith. Most currently, I am on a J. Mascis of dinosaur jr. listening frenzy as well as a band called "the weeks". Look them up. Lucero
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
camera, phone (i hate that addiction more than most), beer, wine and spirits, desire to travel. I have this crazy itch to see different cultures and experience them fully, you can't do that unless you spend a significant amount of time in a place and interract with natives. I'm not just talking about going to non-industrialised nations, but anywhere, you need to learn about people that live in a place to understand it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
places I am not, walls my pictures should be on, people i should be seeing. How ridiculous some words sound and why certain things are called what they are called. Why?

"Sometimes I just get tired of thinking of all the things that I don't wanna do. All the things that I don't wanna be. Places I don't wanna go, like India, like getting my teeth cleaned. Save the whale, all that, I don't understand that." quote from a favorite movie of mine.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Thinking of doing something different, then going to the same bars with my friend and always hoping to get calls to work whatever concert is in town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a little less than super self confident and I may text while intoxicated.
