I am fun, enjoying life, and passionate.

My Self-Summary

I'm a listener, a dreamer, an idealist and a realist. I'm spontaneous and a planner. I'm passionate about a lot of things. I love laughing. I want to try new things and meet new people. I have some of the best friends in the entire world. I feel very lucky in life and when I'm not, I always do my best to find a bright side (in a non-cheerleader/valleygirl kinda way).

I believe in working hard and playing hard. I believe you should cry enough to make you enjoy laugh, and laugh enough to appreciate crying. My friends know me as the one who's out to try and save the world (save the whales, human rights, etc.).

*wish i could have been more witty/sarcastic... but that is reserved for in-person interactions i s'pose*

What I’m doing with my life

Just doing what I can to be sure I love life more and more each day.

I do audio/production work at a local cable tv news station and work part-time with teens doing leadership and community services activities. And I love almost every moment of it. I'm also into documentary filmmaking and social justice education.

I’m really good at

laughing (my smile's usually pretty contagious, too), carrying on conversations for hours past expected, having heated discussions, finding a bright side, and a few other things I hope...

The first things people usually notice about me

my height. I'm kinda short. But then they get to know me and realize my personality doesn't fall as short...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Open to almost anything, but I'm not a huge/obsessive fan of anything in particular.
Mraz, Folds, Simon & Garfunkel, Mayer, Johnson, Harper, All American Rejects, NFG, most acoustic stuff, Kanye, Legend, Chili Peppers, John Legend, reggaeton, things that I can dance to, my friends' bands, etc.

The six things I could never do without

sun
my amazing friends
passion
laughter
art/music/film/expression
new and exciting things

I spend a lot of time thinking about

how I can be a better person.
religion, traditions, community, identity.
the next documentary film i want to make.
how lucky i am to be where i am doing what i'm doing.
making folks smile.

On a typical Friday night I am

... there's no such thing as 'typical' for me.

I might be working (two jobs, odd hours), sleeping, sharing a dinner with friends, at a bar or club (though it might last through the wee hours of Saturday morning), and who knows? There's always something new to explore in NYC.

You should message me if

you can't answer the question: why not?
