My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a good guy (I can get you references). I'm kind, compassionate, funny, smart, solvent, spiritual and self-aware (and usually modest when not trying to market myself). If you're looking for someone with a playful attitude combined with a deep caring about the state of the world and a dash of culture and sophistication (and who has a fondness for parentheses) I could be your man. Hoping for a long-term relationship with a woman with a big heart, a great sense of humor, and a desire to make the world a better place. Someone with some sort of spiritual practice who takes good care of herself physically and emotionally is important as well. Does that sound like you? Call now, while supplies last.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Learning and growing and being. Developing my career. Hiking and biking and going to yoga classes. I've recently started a new relationship..with a very sweet rescue cat, so hopefully you don't have any allergies. Love plays, symphonies live music and traveling but don't do them as often as I'd like. Wanna come along?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
laughing, appreciating life, meditating, napping, eating, supporting, surfing (the web that is).
The first things people usually notice about me

What I hear most often is that I'm friendly, funny, kind and that I look about 10 years younger than I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love reading the New Yorker (or at least having a stack of them on my nightstand), a good novel here and there and books on personal growth and the theory and practice of psychotherapy. One of my favorite shows is This American Life. Brilliant and inspiring. Also love Dharma Seed.
Movies: Way too many to list here but.... an extremely random list of films that I have really enjoyed and can think of at the moment: Nights of Cabiria, Kagemusha, Garden State, Annie Hall (well, many Woody films would make the list), Casino, O Brother Where Art Thou, Pina, Winter Light, Fanny and Alexander.
Music: Of course there is the Pantheon: Bob, Neil, Joni, Van, The Who, Jackson, Ry, and Muddy Waters. Currently listening to a lot of Gillian Welch and more KCSM (jazzz).
Food-yes! Meat, vegetables, fish, mexican, thai you name it. Spicy is good. I prefer fresh and simple to fancy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
You mean besides air, food, water, etc?

Social and Economic Justice
Why aren't people nicer to each other?
Spiritual Growth
Why college students are so noisy ( I live close to campus).
On a typical Friday night I am
