I am friendly, mostly mellow, and shabby chic.

My Self-Summary

I like to think I am a modern gentleman but probably come across as more of a lazy bum, I can be a bit shy sometimes but I warm up to people pretty quickly, I'm rubbish at small talk but good at talking rubbish.
I love listening to music, I like lots of styles and genres and refuse to shut up about who I've just discovered that everybody just has to hear. I'm a gamer, but I'm trying to strike a balance between seeming nerdy and outright lying so I won't elaborate. I like travelling and experiencing different cultures, seeing their stuff, eating their food, using their fancy or not-so-fancy toilets.
I enjoy seeing friends, meeting new people and having fun, but I guess that's a given, when left to my devices I'm a creative person and will work on my graphic design skills, go out taking photos or do some noodling on my keyboard (badly).
I try to inject a bit of humour into everything I say, but sometimes I'm too dry or subtle so others don't get it so I have to tell them why what I said was funny, and then it turns out that they did actually get what I said, they just didn't find it very funny and feel a little miffed that I've underestimated their intelligence...

What I’m doing with my life

I've just come back from a 5-month trip around the globe, I visited Japan, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand and America, I'm currently adjusting back to reality and wondering what my next adventure will be...

I’m really good at

Making music playlists, playing videogames, mucking about on Photoshop, generally wasting time.

The first things people usually notice about me

When people meet me for the first time, they think I'm a bit weird, then they get to know me better and still think I'm a bit weird, apart from that, my glasses - but sometimes I wear contacts so I'm not sure...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I generally read pop-science books, stuff like The Never-ending Days of Being Dead by Marcus Chown, the last fiction I read was Mort by Terry Pratchett.
Favourite films include The Big Lebowski, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Bond films, O Brother Where Art Thou, the Back to the Future trilogy, Hot Fuzz, Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon.
Maybe you can tell but my major culture intake is music - I'm into Rock, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Jazz, Funk, Soul, any mix of those and more, my favourite bands/artists include Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Beastie Boys, PJ Harvey, Muse, Bonobo, Cinematic Orchestra, Mark Lanegan, Kula Shaker, John Frusciante, Portishead, Martina Topley-Bird, Cibo Matto, The Hives, DJ Shadow, Saul Williams, Death In Vegas, Gorillaz, UNKLE, Cut Chemist, Nine Inch Nails, Seasick Steve, RJD2, Quantic, Future Of The Left, Kid Koala, Brazilian Girls, Aesop Rock, Money Mark, C-Mon & Kypski, The Vines, Jaga Jazzist, Acoustic Ladyland...
My favourite food is smoked Salmon, I like Italian, Asian, most seafood but I'm always up for trying something new. I'm a pescetarian, which is like a veggie but I eat seafood - so I guess that makes me a "pesky".

The six things I could never do without

1. My music collection.
2. Good food.
3. Friends and family.
4. Broadband.
5. A sense of humour.
6. My glasses.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The big questions about the universe, what happens when you die, time travel, the future...wooooo...

On a typical Friday night I am

At home browsing the web, listening to music, relaxing and/or playing games, but still wishing I was out in town.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I don't have a job, working on it though.

You should message me if

You feel like it, if you've seen one of my interests and thought "Oh, I like that too actually.", if you love to talk about music, videogames, travelling, graphic design and all that, if you have any questions, if you're bored and just want to type some letters into a white box, if you're happy and you know it, if you got this far though my profile without hitting 'Back', even if you only skimmed through picking up keywords.
