I’m not your typical dc dweller. I don’t work for a non-profit, I
don’t work for a politician, I don’t wear a black pea coat and I
rarely if ever don my black rimmed glasses. What I do is work in
IT(Information Technology). I currently work for the Department of
Conspiracy Coordination. This is an unknown department of the
United States government that coordinates, implements, and
engineers the various conspiracies that the United States is
involved in. You can’t have all these government conspiracies in
place with some level of management in place right? What I do for
them is Windows administration, in a nut shell that basically means
that my job is to make sure the computers and servers go BEEP.
Being that I work in IT the probability of me being a geek is
pretty high, so I’ll admit I’m a geek. But just because I’m a geek
doesn’t that I’m only into technology, sci-fi and video games. I
also like to go running several times a week. At night I like to
use my neighborhood block as a make shift track and on Sundays I
like to run in Meridian hill park. I also do other exercises as
well so I’m pretty fit for your average geek. I like to think I
have a good sense of humor. My sense of humor seems to be a
combination of smartassery and sarcasm sprinkled with a little bit
a cynicism. Combined with my highly observational nature I’ve
become adept at pulling out good one liners on the fly. Well you
can’t be in DC with out talking a little bit about your political
beliefs so let me just put it this way. I treat politics like a
salad bar, I take what I want and I leave the rest. That means I
take some ideals from the right, some ideals from the left, and
leave all the nonsense behind. I feel that political hard lining
for any party if is the fastest way to loose sight of what’s
important and what’s not.
What I’m doing with my life
Documenting my decent into madness.
I’m really good at
Making smart ass comments when perfectly timed or when not
appropriate. I’m also good at making up fake indie rock band names
and then using them to irritate hipsters, and of course fixing
computers plus other technological devices.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a huge collection of unique graphic tee-shirts that I love
to wear, like the one in my profile pic. People usually notice
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shows: Every Saturday and Sunday morning I like to re-watch the
Marvel Comics cartoons from the 90s on YouTube and eat pop-tarts.
Back then cartoons were good and insightful, not like the crap I
see my nephew watch today. Currently I’m watching the Fantastic
Four, I just finished the Incredible Hulk. I also watch:
Game of Thrones
The Walking Dead
Sons of Anarchy
That’s a lot of HBO shows on there, but that’s a Sunday night
ritual in the house I live in.
Some Indy Rock(not the whiney stuff)
Drum and Bass
I pretty much eat everything exept for Sea food, I’m a huge pasta
junkie and I’ll eat it a couple of times a weeks. Candy is my real
Books: I don’t get that much time to read but when I do its usually
in the area of Sci-fi or adventure.
The six things I could never do without
Bacon – I can’t imagine a world with out bacon.
The internet – In this day and age we’ve all turned into
Food – I like all kinds of food, I love to eat.
Potato chips – I never met a person who didn’t like potato
I’ll think of other things later.
Spell check – I’ve been so ruined by spell check that I just mash
the keyboard now and hope for the best.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people do the things they do. Especially on the metro, you can
really get some good people watching in during rush hour on the
metro. As a computer guy I also like to think about the algorithms
OK cupid uses to match people, sometimes the make sense other time
they are utterly baffling.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with people or at one of the local bars, if I’m tired
from a long day at work I’ll just relax at home. Also if I can
manage it I like to go to the Doctor who happy hour at the Black
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
As a little kid growing up in the 90s I would always hear Marion
Barry's name in the news and I always thought it was 2 people, Mary
and Barry. I believed this the case until the middle of high
You should message me if
If actually want to know something about me, I am more then willing
to answer your questions. In a nutshell I'm not some pink polo
poppin, casual dress shirt wearin, brohemian out of GQ magazine.
Nor am I some pretentious bearded hipster either. I like wearing
awesome t-shirts and I'm kind of a geek, but geeks are cool now
right? I also like some other things that are unconventional but
maybe we can get into those later. But if not interested, thanks
for looking. Oh and one more thing..... GO CAPS!!!
