I recently went back to school to change my profession to Nursing, after having been in the business world for over 10 years. Just a few months until I graduate, and then I will be licensed to stick people with needles. :-) I sing and play guitar in my off time, write music and have a somewhat eclectic taste. I like; classic rock (60-70's), big band, modern rock, some classical, jazz/blues and old country. I grew up in Wisconsin, so please don't hold it against me that I'm a Packer fan.

I speak Spanish, am very comfortable in crowds or speaking in public, I like to smile and laugh a whole bunch, I have a lot of friends, I am close with my family, my dog means the world to me, I can be a handful but *not* in the high-maintenance way, more in the squirming-puppy way - I have a lot of energy though I can sit quietly if there is something keeping my attention (like a good conversation, a decent movie or something shiny). I like to eat ice cream, even in the winter. I talk to strangers (especially in other countries or walks of life) because everyone has a story and I'm better for knowing. I can talk about politics, religion, sex, love, the universe, string theory, cardboard boxes and everything in between. I was raised Lutheran and respect my family, but I am very open to other beliefs and lifestyles as long as they have positive undertones. I prefer to speak in positives but find myself intolerant toward individuals who are intolerant of others. There are many beliefs and lifestyles in this world; just be a good person.

Singing, cooking, laughing, caring for loved ones, speed walking, goofing off, getting stuff done (at the last minute, but done nevertheless), cheering people up, helping in a crisis and coloring books. Oh, I also do handstands. I take a handstand-picture every time I visit a new location.

Physically, my smile; I apply it in generous amounts. Then maybe my eyes. After that I think people notice my charisma.

Books:
I really like action and science novels, such as Ted Bell, Clive Cussler, Peter Benchley; and of course humor or anything else that's through-provoking.

TV:
Anything on Discovery (especially Shark Week), Bones, Big Bang Theory, House, How I Met Your Mother, AFV, and Ellen.

Movies:
Horror movies! I love scary movies, especially zombie or dooms-day flicks. I also like documentaries and the occasional action flick. I'm not big on romantic comedies or super hero films, but will watch just about anything if properly motivated

Shows:
Everything is better live, anything from sporting events to music to theater to comedy.

Food:
I love to cook, but also enjoy the occasional fine dining experience and interesting hole-ing-the-wall dives. Sometimes I'll peruse the farmer's market and make a feast from my bounty. Other times I like to find a good aged gouda and pair it with a bold red wine. I like to think of food as more of an experience than just a meal.

Family, friends, belly laughs, travel, my dog, and sunshine. And cheese, and chocolate.

School and my career, as it is new (again) for me! I cannot wait to be a nurse and am applying myself to school with enthusiasm.

Having a bonfire with friends, watching a movie, having a cocktail, visiting family, pretending to study or playing with Shrinky-Dinks.

For fun I like to:
Watch movies, go for walks with my dog, go camping, sing karaoke, occasionally go fishing, play games (bocce ball, volley ball, cards, etc.), vacation, sneak up on cats, sneak up on people, see live entertainment (comedy, music, etc.), and laugh. I love reading and can finish a book in a day or two if I have time. I took up cooking in the past few years and enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. It's kind of like art...that you can eat.

I eat sand paper for lunch and creamed corn right out of the can. I can bench press a Ford Escort and once had to run away from a very angry man who didn't think I could throw him over my shoulder (booya). I have bad shoulders so I can't arm wrestle, but I did beat the state champ in pole vaulting. I've had sex in an elevator, the 9th hole of a golf course and on top of Old Smokey (which was not covered with cheese). I was once on the run from the Federales in Mexico but fought them with a styrofoam cup and won.
