An apple for the Teacher, smart student want's to be a teacher's pet and good friend.
I enjoy the simplicity of life and its riches it has to offer good food, good wine, friendship, and close family. I sail for fun, but work in DC. I grew up bi-racial and parents have a wonderful marriage .
My real passion is sailing and as a way to share my passion I started a community non-profit group to teach kids to build sailboats that they can learn to sail. Now want to have my own kids to teach.
What I’m doing with my life
I am Looking for partner to start to raise bi-racial kids together. I am an educated professional. I made a transition from a small business owner with a staff running a market research company to corporate again. I occasionally get invited to speak at national conferences on the economy and housing. In addition, I occasionally teach part time at a local university in economics and finance, but I really looking for someone down to earth who likes the outdoors, hiking, biking,or just long walks.
I am seeking a woman with the same desires and passions as myself, someone who enjoys giving back to the community, to the youth, our tomorrow's future.
I’m really good at
Planning and positive motivation, encouraging others to do well. I
like new ideas and the challenges of implementing them. I guess
that is why I love running business and I started a non-profit
organization. I like to communicate and share my ideas and I feel I
am a good listener. I also have a romantic streak.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and openness and acting and doing.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to make a difference for people without opportunities. To share
knowledge and understanding. I always try to ask the question: What
else can I do to improve things for others.
One of my favorite quotes from "Meet Joe Black" and favorite say is
"Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you
don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head
over heels. ,,, find someone you can love like crazy and who'll
love you the same way back. And how do you find her? Forget your
head and listen to your heart ... Run the risk, if you get hurt,
you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living
your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in
love - well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try.
Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived. " For me that
captures my hopes. I would just add if you don't have passion, you
are not living life. I believe that "lightening can strike."
On a typical Friday night I am
Sometimes it is socializing with friends at the sailing club or
other times it is TGIF and just staying at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sport car racing at midnight in Rock Creek Park with my Dad as a
You should message me if
If you want to sail and see the Chesapeake Bay sunsets. Time is so
important and life is so short.
