My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Disclaimer: Recently, someone brought to my attention that my profile probably is not constructed in a way most conducive to attracting females, unless she is a sports crazed nut. My response: This is who I am. If you would prefer a bunch of BS that might be found more attractive as opposed to the honest truth, then most female profiles I read about wanting to find an "honest, drama-free" guy are all BS.

I'm 29, living in the Western Burbs of Chicago. I enjoy living on my own. Right now I reside in an apt, but with the housing market the way it is, when the lease is up, that could easily change. I drive a Toyota Tacoma X-Runner 6-Speed Manual Transmission Pickup. I have a steady job working for a large telecommunications company. And in my free time I tend to follow sports (Big Bears & Cubs fan, and beginning to follow the Blackhawks). Anything else, feel free to drop a line.

Also if anyone is just looking for a hang-out friend to go out to the bars in the DuPage/Kane/Will County area, feel free as well to shout out this way.

I gotta try and get this thing up over 1000 words to get to the next level of completed profile. So here we go:

Well, I decided I liked my iPhone, so I took the next step, and bought myself an iPad. I needed a new toy =). And after that I have since ditched the iPhone, and now am running on a Droid. But I still have the iPad

I spend a little bit of time frequenting local sports bars, enjoying the setting & the sports & the food

I'm a big fan of sports talk radio. My radio dial is set to 670 AM during the day on weekdays, listening to Mully & Hanley, Mac & Spiegs, and Boers & Bernstein. The shows are great.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!???!!! I am =). I'm also ready for some hockey! Go Bears, and Go Hawks!

For the Cubbies, it is time to wait for "next year," again... I have come to the realization that I feel I will never see a Cubs World Championship in my lifetime. Don't get me wrong - if/when it happens, I'll be ecstatic! I'm just not expecting it, at all. That being said, I'm still a fan! And will keep being one! GO CUBS GO!!!

I am self sufficient, busy with work, and insightful
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, working for a large telecommunications company as an installer.

I try to enjoy myself with my (often limited) free time, by either going out to the local bar scene or staying in and watching TV or surfin the net.

I will say that I often work 50-60 hour weeks, and many times that free time is need for rest & recovery more than going out.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
helping people out, learning new things. Right now I guess my trade so to speak is wiring up houses.

I'm also a pretty good problem solver -- just have to think it through, see the end, and figure out how to get there (that skill comes in quite handy as an installer).

I am pretty good at making some tasty steak or burgers or chicken fresh of the grill. The patio pal is a necessity. Which reminds me, need to get down to Jewel to stock up :P.

I also play a mean game of Euchre, assuming I have a partner that knows the game & knows how to play. I won't say I win every game I play (there is a fair amount of chance & luck involved), but I win more games than I lose. And I enjoy other Card & Board games as well. There is something more human & fun about Card/Board games as opposed to Video Games -- I think it is the Social aspect of human interaction =).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I'm tall (~6'5) and decently large (~275 lbs). Sometimes people are a little shocked at the fact I can be gentlemanly when necessary, and at other times, be your "Average Joe" too.

When I'm out driving, I also get a lot of comments on my ride. Just a few random people have given me the "Nice Truck" comment on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner. That being said, I do need to get some body work done on the thing -- just a couple of dinks & dents -- it happens... And my true Bears Fan license plate number: "46 Zone"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Clancy Novels, Dune

Movies: Action/Adventure Flicks, Comic Book Movies, SciFi films, Mystery/Thriller movies

TV Shows: I don't watch TV anymore. I channel search occasionally, but a Netflix subscription & an XBOX 360 together satisfy those entertainment needs: Movies you want to watch, and Video Games

Music: 80s Rock, and lately more modern "pop" so to speak -- but that is only because I enjoy proper use of the synthesizer, and pop music has been once again picking up on that trend

Food: I eat whatever fails to eat me first
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Beer, Diet Soda, Women, Pay Check, Internet, Family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The Cubbies were 5 outs away from the NL Pennant & the World Series in 2003, then the next 3 years, the Red Sox, the White Sox, and then the Cardinals all win the World Series. The Baseball gods have a sick sense of humor.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Lately, usually sleeping. Sounds sad, but I work long hours on Friday & Saturday, with a 8 AM start (which means getting up ~7ish). So yeah, I sound like an old man, but probably sleeping...

That being said, should I have a good incentive to go out on a Friday night for a Social engagement of some sort, the energy most certainly can be found =)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cried the night the Cubs farted away their chance to win the NL pennant & get to the World Series in 2003. And the ensuing 2 weeks, I was in a miserably foul mood. And much beer was consumed in sorrow. It was very depressing.
