My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Most of my passions have to do with one or more of the following: art, live music, humor, community-building, sunlight, moonlight, learning, dancing, and a variety of slightly more hedonistic pleasures. I make friends easily, cherish them dearly, and have mixed feelings about the Oxford comma.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full-time in a college library and spend most of the rest of my time playing original music in small and medium size venues around Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. I also like to draw, mostly with ink.

Spending time outdoors is always attractive to me, even when the temperature is abnormally hot, or reasonably cold. I bond easily with animals, but don't have pets, mostly because I'm not home very much. Although I sometimes long to be more of a homebody, there is almost always something I would rather do than sit at home by myself.

Probably, that I appear to be mysteriously happy. It's not a secret, but I don't really know why I'm smiling, either, most of the time.

Books:
Here is a handful of authors I like, in no particular order:
Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., Jean Toomer, Neil Gaiman, Bill Watterson, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Amit Majmudar, Douglas Adams, Seamus Heaney, Langston Hughes, Roald Dahl, Emily Dickinson, Sharon Olds, Ovid, Lois Lowry, Richard Wright, Leonard Cohen

Movies:
Most of the movies I like best are a blend of funny and thoughtful. I also like a bit of (or more than a bit of) weirdness in a film. In fact, go ahead and apply that to all of the categories--weird gets bonus points across the board.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Words. Images. Foods. Sex. Songs. Makin' stuff. The human condition. What I can say next to make a drink come out of someone's nose. Metaphor and how people use it to understand the world around them (poorly, or otherwise).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing guitar. Dancing. Makin' stuff. Eating and drinking tasty things. Talking and laughing about the things I'm thinking about. Talking and laughing about the things other people are thinking about--on a good night, I am not alone at the time.
