My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey everyone!

I have difficulty describing myself and even more problems expressing that in such a confined area, but I suppose I'll give it a shot. I'm just a 24 year old university student in the National Capital Region. I'm interested in politics, languages, and cultures, and I love music so much that I can rarely be found without my headphones on. I try not to take myself too seriously, although I admit that I can be hard-headed at times. I'm strong in my convictions, and I'm always up for a good discussion or debate!

Creepers take note: although I realize that some of you may like racialized guys, there is also absolutely no need for you to sexualize me to the point of making me a fetish object. Messages like "Mmm, black d**k" are definitely not effective ways to greet anybody (no matter what their race/ethnicity is), and they are hurtful in the sense that the people on the receiving end of these kinds of messages end up feeling solely like sexual objects. I am much more than my race and much more than my ethnicity. I am an intelligent individual with strong convictions. I am unabashedly outgoing, yet sometimes extremely shy. Defining myself would take up a lot more room than this, and this isn't meant to be a novel, but you get the gist. I am a combination of many different elements; a mystery wrapped up in an enigma just waiting to be discovered. Has my race/ethnicity played a large part in defining who I am? Of course it has. It is not, however my defining trait, and I absolutely refuse to be objectified as a result of it.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm studying Conflict Studies and Human Rights with a minor in Italian Language and Culture at uOttawa, and I'm also working at my student union. I hope to pursue a Masters degree in Conflict Studies after I've completed my undergrad.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Either sitting at home with a glass of red wine and a good book, or out for a coffee/casual beer with friends.
