I am Laid back, Open minded, and Curious.

My Self-Summary

Hey, I'm Joey. My real name is a secret, but I decided that I wanted to go by Joey when I was around two years old, for some reason.

I love music and art, intellectual discussion, cheese, conspiracy theories, philosophy, dislike overly judgmental people, enjoy helping people, and I'm a very up front and honest person.

I've been to a few countries, mainly Finland, The Netherlands, Canada, Mexico, and The United States of America ( 0_o Holy crap, I know!). I'd like to see more places. I really want to visit Ireland, Denmark, and I love British culture and therefore would like to go/live there as well. Oh, and New Zealand. But honestly, I don't really like to travel that much. It's just fun to think about.

I enjoy random adventures, such as going to parks and exploring, taking walks, driving to fancy places, and going to interesting stores.

What I’m doing with my life

I am currently attending KCC in Battle Creek, and I was planning on a computer science major, however, I'm not so sure anymore, because I realized that I hate math (I love thinking about math, and the concepts behind it, I just hate the part where you actually do it) =/ Oh well. I might go into graphic/web design, programming of some sort, IT tech, and if it were financially practical, music/art.

I have a part time job as an office assistant at KCC. Until the end of next month, when my lease expires and the semester is over, I'm sharing an apartment with one of my friends in Battle Creek. My other house is in Nashville, MI. So I kind of have 2 residences, for the moment.

I’m really good at

Thinking, Procrastination (until the last day, upon which I am unusually productive), Music/Music History/Random Musical Knowledge, Golf, Problem solving, Guitar, Songwriting, Trying way too hard to gain recognition over stupid things until I realize that it is stupid, Drawing (When I decide to, usually manga, realistic, or abstract), Analyzing things to death, Making lists, Wasting time, Writing more than I really need to (Although when your have a forced topic in an English class that isn't very expandable, this comes in handy), and pretty much anything which has a formula to it or that is logic-based.

I also just learned that I have an uncanny tendency to capitalize things that shouldn't be capitalized when I am listing things.

The first things people usually notice about me

People usually tell me that I'm tall, my eyes are very blue, and that my hair is kind of crazy (It's usually spiked in a messy fashion). Other than that, I don't really know, probably because I'm not other people.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'll admit that i don't read very much, I'm more of a music person...

The only thing i really watch on TV is documentaries, Sitcoms, The Discovery channel/History channel, Occasionally the News, Lots of YouTube. I don't watch much TV, to be honest.

Music, on the other hand... Here are my favorite artists that I can think of off the top of my head -

Muse, Ok GO, Ra, Sevendust, Tool, Haste the day, Relient K, 30 seconds to mars, saliva, Breaking Benjamin, Red hot chili peppers, Anberlin, Rammstein, Sixx A.M, Queen, Puddle of Mudd, Green Day, Dragonforce, Stone sour, System of a down, Nine inch nails, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Billy talent, Serj Tankian, Disturbed, Kamelot, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Skillet, Tenacious D, Finger Eleven, Incubus, Jimmy eat World, Bowling for soup, Evanescence, Maroon 5, Queens of the Stone Age, Dio, A Perfect Circle, 311, Tantric, Seether, Nightwish, Symphony X, Parkway Drive, Avenged Sevenfold, Three days grace, Chuck Berry, Godsmack, Papa roach, Opeth, The red jumpsuit apparatus, Weezer, Bach, Mozart, John Williams, Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff... Ok, too much typing, and remembering all the music I enjoy is difficult.... The list goes on and on, from classical, to metal, to electronica.

The six things I could never do without

Guitar, A voice, Friends/Family, Freedom of opinion, Internet, and Time to relax and free my mind from the madness that is everyday life... that's why I usually stay up late.. Also, feeling understood is the best feeling in the world. I couldn't live without it, now that I have felt it once. Also, I like Instant messenger a lot, even though that would fall under the internet category.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Philosophy, Religion, Human nature, The meaning of life, the vastness of the Universe, Psychology, Music, Songwriting, my future, Why I seem to capitalize things that I shouldn't when I'm listing things.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with friends, at home, sometimes at work, exploring, driving, listening to music, songwriting, doing homework (Heh...Not so much).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Umm... I sing along extremely loud when I'm alone in the car, listening to music. Lots of people do that, though, I would imagine.

You should message me if

We seem to have similar interests, you have good morals, live nearby, like to chat online and have intelligent discussions (or not so intelligent ones, those are always fun too.)

I also enjoy just listening to what people have to say, and attempting to help them out. I'm a bit of a counselor type.
