Books: I like non-fiction and fiction. As long as it is good,
imparts at least some kind of new information and makes me think.
Even the lighter escape fiction. One of my favorites recently
though is, "It's Getting Ugly Out There" by Jack Cafferty. And I
read magazines. From Rolling Stone to Newsweek. Hell, I still read
the back of the cereal box.
Movies: Kinda like books. I like all kinds as long as the are good.
Even the escapest kind. It's more convient for me to mostly rent
them and watch at home. But there are some that need to be seen in
the theater. I love classic movies. "To Kill A Mockingbird",
"Casablanca", The Petrified Forest" (Odd that Bogart is in the last
two? I don't know. You'll have to judge.)
Music: Ahh, music. To soothe the savage beast. Gotta have the music.
It's always been a big part of my life, in lots of different ways.
Love the Blues!!! And everything that came from the Blues. Rock,
Country, R&B... Once again, it's got to be good. Don't want no
crap; and that's MOST of Rap. (Hey, there's MY rap.) But there is
even some Rap that has some redeeming qualities. Dylan, Beatles,
Stones, Van Morrison, Elvis, Hank Williams Sr., Eddie Cochran, Gene
Vincent, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, Robert Johnson, Edith Piaf,
Billie Holiday, Dave Brubeck,........ And the beat goes on.
Food: One of my favorite things. All kinds. Italian, Oriental,
German, Seafood, Cajun, Steaks and just "good ol' cookin'". All
kinds. But my all time favorites, that I could eat every day, (and
have many times in the past) are... drum roll, please... it's a
tie, between Barbecue and Mexican!!!
