My self-summary
I just started Law School and have a wonderful girlfriend but I'd love to meet new people.

I am nerdy and a bit eccentric! If you aren't a nerd/geek/dork or at least going to be okay with the fact that I'm a bit of a nerd then this may not work....

Although I may be a nerd, I love to go hiking and camping. I feel comfortable in the woods and its very calming

I don't believe in gender norms. Do or wear what you want that makes you happy, your genitalia shouldn't have anything to do with it. That being said my style is heteronormative.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working my way through law school, currently in my first year.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, listening when people have problems, and finding random hobbies to become involved in.

I'm also a pretty decent cook, and an alright baker (breads more than sweets)
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure. You tell me!

Perhaps it is my increasingly glorious beard....
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Good Omens, Anything by Neil Gaiman, Most things by Stephen King

Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and plenty others

I love most movies, but I absolutely love horror movies. Cabin in the Woods was definitely a recent favorite.

Honestly I like most kinds of music, but I'm not a big fan of live concerts. I like variety in my music listening to over an hour of the same band while standing up with a bunch of people I don't know just is not fun for me.

I'm a bit of a foodie. I love trying new foods I've never had before and trying new restaurants.
The six things I could never do without
1 Hope
2 Love. It doesn't have to be Romantic love but without people in my life who love me and who I love in return the world seems a bleaker place
3 Entertainment (books, movies, tv, excellent conversation)
5 Goals
5 A place to to call home
6 The ability to count to 6
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why is it that people with the most "alternative" look are generally the people who are the most judgmental about how people look and dress?

Why do people find it so necessary to give everything a label. Most things that people struggle to define exist on a continuum and by trying to insert benchmarks into the middle which people can fall and feel included you merely separate us more as a species. You are who you are, no label can change that, no label should ever separate or divide us, and perhaps instead of trying to find a label that makes everyone in every possible group feel included we should just accept that we are all human beings and stop worrying about the details.

Why is it that within 500 miles the highest match percentage I can find is 96% but within 25 miles I can find someone who is 100% my enemy?

Why does OkCupid show me tons of people with less than 50% compatibility in my Matches section on the home page? Are they encouraging me to rebel against their ideas that numbers should define who I should love or be friends with?
On a typical Friday night I am
It is a longstanding tradition for me to eat dinner with my parents, but I'm up for anything after that is done!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
There are some things that seem exciting, but I would never do because I have seen too many horror movies that start out that way e.g. Exploring an abandoned Asylum or Breaking into an abandoned cabin in the woods.

I'm a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism! I may not be your knight, but I certainly have shining armor.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–36
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You don't believe in playing mind games and believe in saying what you think and how you feel.

You say what you think.

You want to be friends.

Also come on girls, its a little hypocritical to expect a guy to write a well drafted and thoughtful message to you, but when you start a conversation to say "Hey, What's up?"

With all that being said I will respond to any message that I think had even a brief amount of thought put into it
