My self-summary
Mellowest guy you would ever meet... until I lived in Missoula, MT for three years; now I'm a bit twitchy. (Long story.) Getting up before noon is a chore I avoid doing... I love the night-life. When the sun goes down; my 'day' is just beginning. There is not much better than a warm summer night. I am tacky, ornery, and slap-happy. In the winter I drive with the heat on and the windows rolled down. I do what I can to enjoy life and try to include my close friends whenever possible. Which is why I'm here: single-friends tend to be more open to spending time together... and I don't have as many single-friends as I once did. It's said really, because as a friend once said, "Spokane is where the young go to give up."
What I’m doing with my life
Living one day at a time.

I moved to Spokane to decompress from college (nine years straight culminating in three Associate degrees): live life with no responsibility to no one or thing other than the voices in my head... and to save up for a bigger move west. Current goal is: Portland... someday... I hope. I grew up in SoCal and want to make it back to somewhere close to the ocean.

Figures... the above paragraph ends with the biggest goal in my life right now... yet I currently have the best job I've EVER had (high on joy & low on pay)... which will make it a bit hard to leave this town. Also related to the job (my first real desk job)... and the fact I'm horribly unprepared for the coming Zombie Apocalypse... I've started "working out", which is a totally new concept to me... I've always laughed at people that not only like working out, but also include it as a hobby. So we'll see how this new aspect of my life pans out.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am by no means shy, but I can be a bit quiet. (This confuses people.) Thus, I may not be an open book, but nor am I a locked diary. I am a listener and observer above all else, which tends to make those who hide things uneasy. This amuses me. MWAHAHAHA!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: Anything by: Douglas Adams, Michael Chrichton, Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk.

MOVIES: 40 Year-Old Virgin, Batman (Nolan-verse), Fight Club, Frailty, Grosse Pointe Blank, Iron Man 1 & 2, (anything by) Kevin Smith, Matrix, Prometheus (really any Alien related movie except the fourth one), Shaun of the Dead, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Super Troopers, Terminator 1 & 2, Trapped, When Harry Met Sally, Whip It. (The list goes on nearly forever, but this is a good cross section.)

TV: A-Team, Archer, Community, Cops, Deadliest Catch, Dexter, Family Guy, Fringe, House, LOST, MacGyver, Quantum Leap, Rescue Me, Sons of Anarchy, Stargate (any), ST: TNG & DS9, True Blood, Walking Dead, Weeds.

MUSIC: AC/DC... to ...ZZ Top. (I try to see concerts/shows as often as possible. Also, a sizable fraction of the people I hang out with are karaoke addicts. Lucky for me they're pretty damn good at it.)

FOODS: Mexican, bacon, Italian, bacon, American, oh and ummm... bacon smothered in cheddar.
The six things I could never do without
All I need is three...

~a towel.

~a sachel.

~a copy of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When I'm not arguing with the voices in my head? Friends, girls, traveling, Star Trek, bacon, the coming Zombie Apocalypse...
On a typical Friday night I am
Comfortably numb... or asleep. My work schedule drastically changed back in the Spring and am still getting used to it.

Saturday and Sundays often involve roller derby. My roommate is the primary announcer for most of the local leagues. Bad-ass girls in fish nets whippin' around a track. Good stuff. Srsly, it's very different than how it is generally perceived by the public. Especially here in Spokane where hockey is the most popular sport (which closely resembles derby). Thus, it surprises me how low attendance is for bouts. Spokane: perpetually behind the curve. (Derby has become a big deal elsewhere in the country where it sells out arenas.) Come see a bout!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When Harry Met Sally is my bible. It may be a "chick flick", but I find it to be an amazingly accurate portrayal of how the majority of men and women relate to each other. (Yet, it is not the end-all. Especially when you start adding in the different flavors of sexuality and relationship types.)
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–42
  • Near me
  • For new friends, short-term dating, activity partners, casual sex
You should message me if
...you: need/want a friend, are simply curious, etc. I'm not here to find a date per se... I don't date people I don't know... (I find modern dating rituals / rules; archaic & wasteful...) i.e. I'm not one to 'ask out' someone based soley on a first impression... thus, I'm here to meet people and make friends. C'mon, I don't bite... ok, I do... but I don't get (too many) complaints.

I have several friends (as in; I spend time with them IRL,) that are on this site as well. You're welcome to contact them to see if you can dig up any dirt on me. ;p (Ordered in most dirt-knowledge potential to least:) SupaCuteFatChic, boicub, DrPhilsPills, LadyEmi, Caramel-, elxaoloco, tinytall & thayameaust.
