Is a sinful or immoral thought just as bad as acting on that thought?
  • Yes, it's just as bad.
  • No, it's not as bad.
  • A thought can't be sinful or immoral.
  • I'm not sure.
I find it difficult to answer this question with what is given. So here's a quote that comes to mind. "What was sleep, after all, but the process by which we dumped our insanity into a dark subconscious pit and came out on the other side ready to eat cereal instead of the neighbor's children?"

I dont care for the practice of answering questions with a question... the exception is if the question truly does beg for further questions and/or thought.

Incorrect. This answer is obvious: thuoghts are nowhere near as bad as deeds, and I can prove it. Sometimes, when I'm having a bad day, I like to daydream that the entire earth is sterilized by nuclear fire, essentially resetting evolution. However, all you people are still here, living and breathing. Isn't it GREAT that I only THOUGHT about it and didn't actually DO it?

An image of Johnboat Incorrect? I didn't even answer the question. In fact, all I did was restate the question in the form of a quote I recently came across in a book. However, the point you make in your comment is a valid one.

I was referring to the part where you said the question was "difficult". The only time the thought is worse than the dead is if you have freaky psychic powers and every time you think of dead cats your neighbor's head explodes.

DEED, I mean. Not dead. I need to start spellchecking shit before I hit submit.
