My self-summary
I'm Ravi, was born and raised in Manchester.
Despite my profile pictures, I do smile.
I won't try to sum myself up on a dating site profile, but I can give some indication of what I'm about. Here goes...
Since a young age I've had an indelible feeling of not fitting in, which has led to me to having no desire to live by any "isms" and the freedom of not identifying myself with any particular group of people. On the surface this creates the impression that I live a contradictory life. I'm not trying to be anything I am not. I am only attempting to live by my own terms without shoving it in the face of others.
What I’m doing with my life
Growing my hair long.
I graduated with a BA in Economics in 2009. I didn't do anything with it because shortly after finishing I realised it is all bollocks anyway.
Since then I've been stuck in the family business for various reasons and the last few years have drifted by.
I now have my own business as a leathersmith, hand-making guitar straps, wrist cuffs, seats and saddlebags for Harley Davidsons and choppers and anything a customer may challenge me to, which can be anything from repairing a horse saddle to making a one off cosmetics bag. I had to put that on hold for a bit last year because a car knocked me off my motorbike and I had to get my wrist plated up. The resulting scar makes it look as though I attempted suicide.
My aim with all this is to make enough money to travel every now and then. I have spent time in Nepal, Tibet and the Indian Himalayas, but I want to go to South America (Peru & Chile), Mexico, Scandanavia and New Zealand.
Beyond that I want to make enough money to buy land and farm it myself the traditional way.
I’m really good at
poorly articulating my thoughts so they are misconstrued. Procrastinating. And being a confidante. I'll forget it as soon as you tell me. Growing a winter beard.
The first things people usually notice about me
I can't say. I'm sure it will vary from person to person depending on their tendencies and the things they hold as important. Deep, I know. I can be pretty quiet, which people notice. They think it is shyness, but I just know when to shut up.

Movies - Dances With Wolves, Lord of the Rings, Fight Club, Last of the Mohicans, How To Train Your Dragon, Rango

Video games (not so much lately)- The Legend of Zelda, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami.
The six things I could never do without
Being in the countryside
My motorbike
Decent coffee
Making things with my hands
I spend a lot of time thinking about
if guns don't kill people, people kill people, does that mean that toasters don't toast toast, toast toast toast?

Also, how a lot of the so called "greatest films of all time" are actually crap.
On a typical Friday night I am
staring vacantly at the wall whilst absent mindedly twanging my guitar, or working like a madman getting things ready for Saturday artisan markets.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like going to the cinema for 11am weekday showings a couple of months after a film's realease date when everyone has seen it. Being the only person in a cinema is amazeballs. Getting to do this is reason enough to not work a nine to five.

you think we will get along, you are a bit weird and you don't type in text language. You get a gold star if you know who Jari Mäenpää is and think his music is awesome. I will literally give you a gold star that you can stick on your chest.
