I try to live life in the moment, not judging others and accepting people and things as they are while focusing on the positive and all the possibilities that may come.

A Favorite thought: Understanding Life is to grasp that all is temporary and fleeting. What is strong today may be weak tomorrow. To focus on making the most of each moment, we must just think on what our last breath on earth will be like and what we leave in spirit. Did I care enough, did I give enough, and did I love enough?

Just retired after a long career at a young age (in my mind-LOL). I worked over 28 years in public service doing a job with great responsibility for all citizens while also having to absorb, listen to and digest our collective inhumanity. I will admit it took a toll on my body, mind and spirit. I'm currently planning my next phase, which will be a combination of helping young people stay out of trouble, and getting to some deferred travel to places of learning and adventure. I have two sons who are very much a part of my life but both are grown and independent thinkers, except when they want my financial help. LOL! I'm also seriously thinking of writing a book or a play about some of the many difficult life situations I encountered during my career.

I love reading Books, walking, and listening to smooth jazz, r and b, and some rock music. I truly love listening to rain and the Ocean. Observing and appreciating nature and our earth is a priority for me! I also enjoy meditation and reflecting on life's mysteries. Laughter and goodness of heart to all.

Listening and laughing and not taking myself too seriously. Laughter in my mind is a healing power for all ills of the world.

Interests: Traveling and learning about the truth in life by learning of all cultures and people, while dropping all biases and assumptions. I do love fishing with my buddies off Baja and now and then a good Monte Cristo cigar! A little Armagnac Cognac or a glass of good wine never hurts!

That I am tall, somewhat nice looking, have a nice smile, intelligent and have a very warm, sensuous down to earth personality despite a serious look.

Favorite Books: History, Biographies of those who changed the course of human understanding, politics. Love also books that explore the spirtual questions in life.

I love Japanese food and could either live in Japan or eat Japanese every night of the week.

Favorite Music:John Legend, John Coltrane, Sam Cooke, Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow, Bob Marley, Lionel Ritchie, Alicia Keys, Lisa Fisher, All R and B oldies.

What path my life is going to take as I move into a new phase. Things are changing rapidly and for me its time to focus on the finer, higher callings in life. Travel is burning in my heart, but I also have a calling to give my time in helping wayward young people look into the future so they can take advantage of each moment before their life's path is set.

Relaxing, watching a good movie, or going out for Japanese food.

I had a spinal fusion done on my low back in 07 and it was probably the dumbest thing I have done in my life. :) It set me back a whole year in rehabilitation to get strong and fit again! On the positive side, it helped me in so many ways realize what it is to define something as important in life and considering all the potential interpretations of perspective.

You are looking for a sincere man with a good heart. I'm very much into honesty, maturity, fun, laughing, and having a great time without any drama, and letting spontaneous fun feelings take over. :) Life is simple and effortless at its core, however our natural instincts together with our analytical minds do get in the way of understanding this. Self directed work is the only type to partake of.
