My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Before anyone asks; yes, I am a time traveller. And queer as fuck.

My name is Johnny, some people call me that, some people call me III. It's pronounced Three. Like the number. The Romans had some things figured out. Sometimes I go by other names; but those are under special circumstances.

I was born/raised in Ohio/Michigan but I've moved to San Francisco, I'm taking root here. I'm looking for friends, first and foremost. Ultimately I'm just looking for people to have fun with who have good stories. Stories are so important.

I find summarizing myself too..whatever. I'll answer questions, put up photos, and send out mail. You might message me, and we'll talk, and that's how you'll know me.
Not this box.
But with your courage.

I am artistic, eccentric, and fierce.
I am unrelenting in my goals. I am probably hard to get along with because of it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an aspiring filmmaker . I make really stupid short films. They won't make sense. It's okay to not make sense.

I want to make beautiful, ugly things, and tell wonderful stories, showing everyone how the world looks through my eyes.

Though, currently I sling coffee and project movies at a movie theater downtown.
It's pretty much awful, but I'm damn good at it.

In the words of Ani DiFranco, "Art is why I get up in the morning / But my definition ends there..."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not much, lately. I like to think I'm a competent writer. I like to think I'll make movies one day.
I'm kind of pretty good at making 70mm film go through a projector. But that's not a real world skill.
I've been told, and it appeals to my ego to believe that I'm a fairly entertaining individual with much wit and snark to dispense. So if Snark's a skill....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My fashion choices. I range from formal-for-no-reason to androgynous regularly. Once I feel like I'm being pinned down I try something new in a childish attempt to avoid having to break down my own walls.

I like to believe people notice quickly that I genuinely love life and people.

Book: Anything Hunter S. Thompson, Hemmingway, or Charles de Lint. Scott Pilgrim $30 Film School

Movies: Brick, Death Proof, Blues Brothers, Ginger Snaps, Hellraiser, Mallrats, a bout de souffle ( Breathless ), The Dreamers, Hamlet The Majestic, Fight Club, ect....

Music: Modest Mouse, Streetlight Manifesto, Decemberists, Ani DiFranco, Doctor Steel, White Stripes, The Black Keys, The Dead Weather, Gogol Bordello, Filk, Childish Gambino, ect....Bob Dylan. But that's like enjoying the fact that there's air to breathe and water to drink.

Courtney Love and Ke$ha both saved my life in different ways at different times. Which, I mean...make your judgements. I still dig The Velvet Underground. I'm hip.
Deal with it/accept it or we won't be friends.

Food: I'm big on pastas, breads, and cheeses. Also Chinese.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 My Camera. (Ophelia)
2 A notebook/something to write with.
3 My Friends.
4 Music.
5 Movies.
6 Passion.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How big the universe is, how small we are, and how beautifully those two facts get along.

The eventual complete ruination of megaplexes.

Imaginary people getting into imaginary situations and how to make both real.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Who's to say? Life's an adventure.
That being said I'm probably either alone writing or stuck at work.

(I'm probably staying in with a few close friends. Talking shit about art. Let's be honest.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty gender fluid.

Oh! Point of radical honesty; I'm not out-doors-y. I'm in love with cities and city culture. Forests are nice, mountains are nice...I think...but me and camping or hiking don't really get along. I'm very much a stay up all night, drink coffee, smoke cigarettes, and watch movies/read books/talk with friends guy. I like all night diners and the way TV light in far away apartment windows breaths a hidden language across alleys and parking lots.
I guess what I'm saying is, I'd rather write and drink coffee in the dark of my kitchen than find a hill to stumble up. I'm sorry, but that's me.
Every noir piece.

Just looking for friends!

You should just message me. You're here because you want to meet new people, so am I. Differences will make us have interesting things to say, and similarities will make us friends, even if it's just for today.

Bonus if you dance, create music, or write.
