My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've gone bungee jumping in Cancun, skiing at Whistler, and hiking through Philmont. I'm comfortable being a homebody --staying home, watching Netflix, and cooking -- but I also enjoy going to events like Burning Man or seeing shows like The Blue Man Group, Avenue Q, or just an act at a comedy club.

I am a supporter. I like to help people and I generally go out of my way to do so. I feel strongly that the world would be a better place if everyone got the support they needed.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at Hopkins maintaining their computer infrastructure and also do freelance programming/engineering. I create custom computer systems or programs for small companies in my free time.

I've recently taken up Meditation and trying to get back into reading with my Kindle.

I've taken my love of food and experimentation into the world of charcuterie, the wonderful land of homemade bacon, sausages, and smoked salmon. I've also been making a good deal of fresh pasta.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm awesome at cooking and I really like introducing people to food like homemade marshmallows or paneer. I make kickass lemon marshmallows. I love to make food for people and hear their opinions.

Hearing things that are hard to hear, like high frequency noises. Useful if we ever get attacked by neon signs.

I've got a bit of a shaved head thing going on. You probably noticed that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Catch-22, The Giver, Haunted. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is one of the few books I've read over and over again.

TV: Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Futurama, South Park, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, and The Daily Show.

Movies: The Lion King is a comforting favorite. A close second is the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. In general, I like comedies and musicals such as Monty Python and History of the World Part I. Some of my other favorites are Leon the Professional, Sweeney Todd, Princess Bride, A Clockwork Orange, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Disney and Pixar movies such as Wall-E or The Incredibles.

Music: Mozart's Requiem is my favorite classical composition. I don't have many music favorites, I listen to most anything people tell me to. Recently I've been listening to Parov Stelar, Lupe Fiasco, Hopsin, and a lot of electronic dance music.

Food: I'm adventurous about food; I like to try new restaurants and products all the time. I'm partial to aggressively seasoned food (think Spanish or Indian) and I try to mimic it in my cooking. I like to make desserts like homemade marshmallows and peanut butter cups but have recently started making my own pasta and soups.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
An entertaining game or book
Friends and Family
Sparkling Water
Ents of all kinds
Flavorful food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Using eloquent words in inelegant sentences.

How much better the world would be if we all thought about things in the long term instead of the short term.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I like to relax from work by going out to a show, going to a unique restaurant, or cooking. If not that, then I'll watch some comedy or play games like Settlers of Catan, Chess, or something on the PC.

I'm not big on large crowds/loud bars but I can be perfectly happy talking to people over a boardgame or at a restaurant.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm only culturally Jewish; I'm more nonreligious than anything.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're an introvert looking for a fellow introvert (I'm an INTJ if you like the Meyers Briggs) or you're a person who likes talking to an active listener.

You want to cook with me or, for those lacking in the culinary art, eat.

You want to go for a hike, check out a restaurant, or see a movie.
