My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Thanks for clicking on my face!

To summarise: I'm sociable and fully house trained - I get on well with children and other animals and it's quite safe to leave me alone in the house. I definitely won't chew up your shoes. Nope. Definitely not. I do occasionally howl at the moon.

I love cycling, I read a lot, I'm pretty independent, I like to travel (more excited by natural beauty than city breaks), I relish good food and good company, I love to dance, and I'm half-Venezuelan. My hips definitely don't lie.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in legal marketing (correct, that is approximately as dry as it sounds) but would eventually love a life as a self-employed writer/editor/teacher of creative writing. I started teaching adults recently and love it. One day I will have a heated shed at the end of a garden, in which I will drink tea and write and edit to my heart's content. I envisage a dog at my feet and a handsome man waiting for me in the house, ideally with a tray of freshly-baked cinnamon buns. What? A girl's gotta dream.

I'm always looking for ways to be more fulfilled, more creative, laugh more, love more, feel happier, run further, cycle harder, write more, dance more and watch less TV.

I also wish to be kissed, and often, and by someone who knows how. Extra points if you know the film reference.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm fairly good at lots of things. When I grow up, I hope to be REALLY good at a few things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Fell free to tell me. I'm guessing the hair is high on the list.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love books. It's not easy to pick favourites, but here are a few that spring to mind right now.
The Wasp Factory (One kind soul told me that seeing this at the top of my list made him "snort into his beer". I thought about removing it, but it's truly a magnificent book. I like some dark things, it doesn't mean I'm a dark person).
Bleak House
Pride and Prejudice (all Austen, basically)
The Count of Monte Cristo
A Prayer for Owen Meany
American Gods (and most Neil Gaiman)

Films (again, just a few)
Shawshank Redemption
Pulp Fiction (in fact, all Tarantino)
The Princess Bride
Napoleon Dynamite
Mary & Max
Romcoms for light relief.

I have an eclectic, probably utterly goofy taste in music. If you're strident about what type of music is "cool", you definitely won't think I'm cool. But music makes me happy and I'm not snobby about it. If it can touch me in any way, it's all good with me.

I love Thai, Korean and Vietnamese food, and Indian, and a good burger, and a Sunday roast, and... basically, good food is one of life's great joys, and I like lots of flavour and variety. But no seafood unfortunately, I'm allergic.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bike

The ability to laugh at myself
Radio 4
