My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Editor. Playwright. Book and theatre reviewer. Podcast listener. Green tea, wheat beer, and white wine drinker. Carb eater. Playlist creator. Cardigan wearer. Soulmate seeker.

I'm looking for someone to complement me (and maybe even compliment me, occasionally!), but also push me out of my comfort zone—we should all be doing things that make us nervous more often—and introduce me to new things. In return I promise to make you lots of mixtapes made up exclusively of bands of which you've never heard and to proofread all of your cover letters/emails/Facebook statuses as needed. Passion, talent, and genuineness are attractive to me... pretty much everything else is negotiable.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I do lots of random things vaguely related to marketing and media, just like the female protagonist in every romantic comedy ever made.

I wrote my first play last year and I produced it for the Capital Fringe Festival this past July. It was a bit like having a second full-time job and I had no idea what I was doing, but it was thrilling and fulfilling and we got great reviews. Since then I've written a couple of 10-minute plays and been invited to join a feminist theatre company—I'm excited to continue exploring this newfound passion and seeing where it leads!

Otherwise, I like the usual things: going to concerts, wine touring, discovering new podcasts, etc.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
writing endlessly, flip cup, creating elaborate Spotify playlists around specific themes, using the Oxford comma, and delivering best man speeches.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"What? Holly? Oh, Jolly. Wait, is that your real name?"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Reading: I have a side gig reviewing LGBT-themed and -authored books, so that's keeping me flush with random reading material. I also always have the latest issue of New York magazine in my bag.

Listening: The playlist I use during parties is called Indie That Won't Depress My Friends + Guilty Pleasures, so that should give you some insight into my musical proclivities. UPDATE: Currently being torn to tiny little pieces every time I listen to the new Sufjan Stevens album, and loving every second of it. It's genuinely tremendous and harrowing at the same time.

Food-ing: People who don't like desserts scare me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Friends and family
- The Internet
- Library card
- A journal in which I can jot down good quotes/random bits of dialogue
- Air conditioning
- Tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what to add to my bucket list next and how to accomplish it. Oh, and also when I can schedule my next nap.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Decompressing at home with takeout and an episode of Hannibal (Hugh Dancy, mmmmm). Or, the exact opposite of that, depending on the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I have an age-inappropriate love of unicorns. At work, I may have an overflow desk for all of my unicorn paraphernalia. If I tell you that most of the items were gifts would that make it better? No? Okay, just checking.
