My self-summary
Managing editor. Playwright. Book and theatre reviewer. Podcast listener. Green tea, wheat beer, and white wine drinker. Carb eater. Playlist creator. Cardigan wearer. Soulmate seeker.

I'm looking for someone to complement me (and maybe even compliment me, occasionally), but also push me out of my comfort zone—we should all be doing things that make us nervous more often—and introduce me to new things. Passion, talent, and genuineness are attractive to me... pretty much everything else is negotiable.

Side note: My greatest regret in life right now is not choosing SondheimSteamroller as my username.
What I’m doing with my life
I love to write and I've been lucky enough to trick people into letting me do it for a living.

I wrote my first play last year and am producing it for the Capital Fringe Festival in July. It's a bit like having a second full-time job and I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's thrilling and fulfilling and terrifying all at once and I think I may love it.

Otherwise, I like the usual things: going to concerts, wine touring, discovering new podcasts, etc.
I’m really good at
writing endlessly, flip cup, creating elaborate Spotify playlists around specific themes, using the Oxford comma, and delivering best man speeches.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading: I have a side gig reviewing LGBT-themed and -authored books, so that's keeping me flush with random reading material. I also always have the latest issue of New York magazine in my bag.

Listening: I couldn't possibly pick a favorite band, so I'm going to put my favorite playlist on shuffle and write down the first 20 artists that come up: Jill Andrews, The Mountain Goats, Kevin Devine, Branches, Air Traffic Controller, Frontier Ruckus, Rah Rah, William Fitzsimmons, John K. Samson, Noah and the Whale, Savoir Adore, The Decemberists, Tegan and Sara, Josh Rouse, Los Campesinos!, Damien Jurado, Night Driving in Small Towns, Mia Riddle, Jason Anderson, and Sleigh Bells.

Food-ing: People who don't like desserts scare me.
The six things I could never do without
- Friends and family
- The Internet
- Ice cream
- A Moleskine journal for jotting down good quotes
- Air conditioning
- Green tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what to add to my bucket list next and how to accomplish it. Oh, and also when I can schedule my next nap.
On a typical Friday night I am
Decompressing at home with takeout and an episode of Hannibal (Hugh Dancy, mmmmm). Or, the exact opposite of that, depending on the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I have an age-inappropriate love of unicorns. At work, I may have an overflow desk for all of my unicorn paraphernalia. If I tell you that most of the items were gifts would that make it better? No? Okay, just checking.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like guys
  • Ages 28–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
you'd like to grab a beer or cup of tea sometime! Or, you are my 100% enemy, because that would be awesome.
