My self-summary
Some random facts about me:

I primarily go by a nickname, which was the result of an adjective ice breaker gone awry. I can have an entire conversation using nothing but Mean Girls quotes. My last name loosely translates to “slobbering” or “drooling” in many Romance languages. I’ve been told my totem animal is a baby orangutan... wearing a diaper. My favorite Ryan Gosling Tumblr is Feminist Ryan Gosling. My favorite non-Ryan Gosling Tumblr is Animals Talking in All Caps. I take the important things in life -- family, friends, being awesome at my job -- seriously, but being considered a "serious person" is definitely not something to which I aspire.

I am endearingly snarky, maddeningly earnest, and always hungry for more...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a Managing Editor at an online social commerce company and write for blogs and magazines on the side. I've also picked up a freelance gig with a startup in NY. Recently, I decided I want to explore playwriting... not sure how that's gonna go.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy the usual stuff -- being with friends, discovering new music, desperately searching for the motivation to go for a run, etc.
I’m really good at
writing endlessly without burning out; juxtaposing frivolous pop culture references with esoteric theory and serious current events; flip cup; creating unnecessarily long and exceedingly eclectic Spotify playlists around specific themes; and delivering best man speeches (I've been told).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I recently picked up a side gig reviewing LGBT-themed and -authored books, so that's keeping me flush with reading material. I also always have the latest issue of New York magazine in my bag.

Favorite songs of 2012 were by: Air Traffic Controller, The Avett Brothers, Balto, Bart Constant, Branches, Cloud Nothings, Damien Jurado, Father John Misty, Field Report, First Aid Kit, Icona Pop, The Lighthouse And The Whaler, The Magnetic Fields, Matt & Kim, Menomena, Moonface, The Neighbourhood, Of Monsters And Men, Ra Ra Riot, Rah Rah, The Secret Love Parade, Sleigh Bells, The Tallest Man On Earth, Team Me, To All My Friends, Typhoon, You Won't, and many more...

People who don't like desserts scare me.
The six things I could never do without
- Friends and family
- The Internet
- Running shoes
- A Moleskine journal for jotting down good quotes
- Cardigans
- Green tea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I am/could/should be writing about. What I am/could/should be doing this weekend.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recovering from the week, decompressing at home, and preparing myself for the weekend. Or, the exact opposite of that, depending on the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm considering getting a unicorn tattooed somewhere on my person. Mostly because it seems like it would be physically impossible for a guy with a unicorn tattoo to ever take himself too seriously...
