My Notes edit

My self-summary

I am ALWAYS re-inventing myself.

Moving to Oxford from Memphis and making other big changes in my life as well.

I'm looking forward to spending some alone time with my studio and perhaps meeting some new people near oxford. I'm going to go ahead and get the most divisionary facts concerning myself out of the way first to help weed out those who aren't my intended audience.

1. I am not Christian (although I hold and honor many Christian beliefs and morals) Furthermore, I engage in rituals from a wide array of religions, real and imagined. The whole point of faith is that it's something we believe in without proof, so why not have some fun with it?

2. I am a very sexual person. If you don't love sex then you will not want to pursue a romantic relationship with me. Lots of great sex is part of the package, take it or leave it. I can do a wonderful vanilla, but I also like other spicer flavors. Very openminded without being weird.

3. I am very opinionated and critical, despite being an optimist. Realist with a smirk if you will. I have the mind of an engineer and the spirit of an artist. The two sides often fight or collaborate to create wonderful ideas and works.

4. I joke openly about just about everything. I think that humor makes uncomfortable and taboo subjects easier to digest. Many people are offended by this, but as they say, it's just words, and if you listen to what I'm really saying it is seldom intended as anything other than to amuse or put in to perspective.

5. I can be a bit crass, smartassed, and vulgar at times. I have no problem holding my forked tounge in front of your kids, but if I have to censor myself continually around you, I'm probably not going to feel very comfortable or welcome.

6. I like to drive very fast. I have completed various courses on stunt and race driving and although I am still considered an amatuer, I am quite skilled. I like to weekend race wether it be Autocross, Roadracing, or the occasional stoplight challenge. This being said, I am always VERY aware of my surroundings and put safety first. I'd rather lose a race than ruin a car, or a life.

7. I like drugs! Holy Jesus jumping Christ on a pogo stick! Yes, It's true, I love nothing better than lighting up a big fat j or bowl. I also like the occasional hallucinogen and rarely I will indulge in others. I WILL NOT and DO NOT use: Meth, Herion(or any derived opiate), PCP, Cocaine(or crack). I expect you to understand that I will not change my stance on this because you don't approve. I Will however not partake while around you if it bugs you. That said, if you have never tried drugs, and want me to show you the ropes, too bad. It is a personal choice and I will not be held responsible for YOUR actions. I will however educate you from both my vast library and public resources, as well as personal experience on the pros and cons of what I am familiar with, and I urge every person young and old to learn about a substance before you put it in your body. And finally, NO. No I have not, do not, and WILL NOT sell you, or anyone else drugs. If you ask, I WILL report you to law enforcement. Be educated and responsible people!

8. I don't like WATCHING 99% of athletic sports. I do however love to Hike, Mountain bike, Play many sports. But being a lazy ass on the couch while watching others have fun doesn't do it for me. I like to participate rather than watch. I'm in pretty good shape, despite the fact I hardly ever make it to the gym these days, so feel free to drag me into your favorite pastime.

9. I am not in a relationship. I was, I miss her, moving on. Not sure I'm looking for anything serious, but I do prefer being monogamous, however my life is not on that track right now. Please be open about what you want and expect and I will be open and honest about the situation. If you want monogamy, do it. Cheaters will be humiliated and publicly ridiculed. If you need more love than the one you are with can give you, move on.

10. I am Brutally Honest. Do NOT ask me if you are fat if you don't want to hear the truth. Furthermore, I expect the same from you. I don't want easy "mostly true" answers to life and it's problems and adventures. Dumb it down for someone else. Omitting relevant details is the same as telling a lie. Everything is MUCH easier and less stressful when there are no stories to remember.

If the preceding did not scare you away, or you are at least willing to put your pre-conceptions aside and see whats really going on, go ahead and shoot me a message!

What I'm doing with my life

Wondering what in my profile actually resonates with you. Executing the domination of myself. (and then the world?) Writing, Painting, Reading, Working, Fiddling with stuff, Enjoying my own sensations in the singular feeling of the movement of time which is subjective, yet common to us all. Letting my mind wander without borders to places that I could never hope to describe with mere words]].

I have big plans for my life, but keep them secret.

I long for a co-conspirator who will support my wildest wishes and most inane longings.

I'm really good at

I am good at many things. I am not good at confining my mind to simple ideas. I am not good at introducing myself. I am not good at being alone (except when I am.)

art. I feel that everything we do is art in some sense, from driving, to painting, to talking. I like to take time every once in a while to treat every breath as a canvas, every road as a song, and every situation as an instrument provided by fate for my creativity to bring beauty, feeling and expression to a world with no boundaries but our own.

Sounding all meta-meta-physical and shit.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

People seem transfixed on hair. Ever notice when you hear a "you look just like 'insert famous persona'" that it usually reflects your hair rather than your eyes, attitude, or smile? Anyway, my hair is a distinct and sentient being that just happens to be attached to my scalp.

Now that I've said that, my eyes, my attitude.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a. In the past I read mostly horror (Stephen King, Dean Koontz, etc.), pulp (Charles Bukowski, and Science magazines (I miss OMNI! Bring it back!) then I decided to tackle philosophy (favs are plato, Pythagoras, Old mystical texts, etc. as well as weird shit like Crowley, Robert Anton Wilson, and R. Buckminster Fuller) then I tried to reconcile spirituality and psychology, and hence an interest in all manner of thing (Milton H. Erickson, Stanislav Grof, Carl Jung, Freemasonry, Zen, etc.) and all the while more interested in fundamental science and theory (with interest in computers, but they aren't usually as good a read) and ran in to some great books ( Douglas Hoffsteader , Beckman, etc.) And found writers eventually that incorporated all of these in to a mishmash of fiction and nonfiction, hard sci-fi, religions, and anything else. (R. A. Wilson, Buckminster Fuller, Phillip K. Dick, Frank Herbert, Richard Bandler, etc.) Now I just read what I find interesting at the moment (currently The Hacker Crackdown by Bruce Sterling) as the local library is practically giving away most donated books. (hardcover first edition Less Than Zero for 2$? Do they need the money that bad?) And I must mention some more names to be fair; Tom Robbins, Douglas Addams, Chuck Palahniuk, George Orwell, Edgar Allen Poe, Hunter S. Thompson, William S. Burroughs, Alex Grey, George Hayduke, Alan Watts, Bruce Lee, Mark Twain, Ambrose Bierce, Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Kurt Vonnegut, Shel Silverstein and Richard Feynman. You wern't really THAT interested were ya?

b. Those that bring me into a new world, that embolden my perception. (I just saw Children of Men and loved it)

I've been asked to name names and the following directors are found guilty of being fucking brilliant: Terry Gilliam, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Tim Burton, and all the rest I'm too lazy to type.)

c. It seems that everyone listens to everything now. To be more exact, and for the sake of brevity, I will state that I do not listen to pop, country, grateful dead, emo, (crap)house, or newer r&b. Anything else is probably fair game.

(Bonus Points awarded to IDM, DnB, Ambient, Classical, Bungle, and anything that mesmerizes the senses.)

d. Sushi, Hamburgers, Pasta, Steak(rare), Artichokes, Guava, and things I haven't tried yet.

The six things I could never do without

My knowing that nothing can hurt me but myself. My willingness to exist beyond words and explanation. My feeling of awe for the infinitesimal around me. My faith in myself and the subtle order of life and the universe. and some others that I left out on purpose to fool you. ha ha.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What comes next. I tend not to dwell on the past, and while reflection and nostalgia have their place, those who spend their lives reliving the past are all but dead to me.

I think about the future of life. I think about what I am doing here. I think about secrets and how they show themselves silently on the lips of the silent performers in the great deception that is language verbal, and otherwise. I think about what people think about when I think about odd logical anomalies and paradoxical nonsense.

On a typical Friday night I am

There is no typical friday night.

I have been told the above is cliche, but it's very true. I'll give some common fridays:
Out with friends usually at home or non-commercial gathering place (park, etc)
At home Reading (books, online, iPhone, stars, etc.)
Fixing up my new residence making modifications and repairs.
Designing my future residence. (earth covered self-sustainable Geodesic dome home)

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

I am not what I think I am.

(you aren't either.)

You should message me if

You have ESP and can PROVE it. You are a geek and want to talk to someone who will not stumble on jargon. You are normal and can PROVE it. You are actually an android imitation of yourself. (no proof needed.) You can read, and do, without being asked/made/hypnotized to do so. You can listen and talk at the same time. You don't watch TV. You can convince me to go to the gym more. You can rollerskate while chewing gum while reading and whistling a video game soundtrack without injuring yourself, the innocent people loitering nearby, or the book.

If you read this far, you either are curious, or bored. I won't judge, but perhaps a hobby or a new friend?
