I am an engineer finishing out these next ten months at work so I can be finacially ready to actually figure out what I want to do next. I go out whenever I can and split my down time between Indianapolis, NYC, and LA. I love to travel and am planning a Southeast Asia tour when I am done with my students loans. I love to make people laugh, even if my humor can be a bit dry. I love dancing and have even taken lessons (but I could use some refreshers haha). I'm always ready to roll and down for pretty much anything fun.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently working internationally with a large oil-well
service company. I love my work, I help save lives and the
environment by consulting with drillers on oil rigs. I work on a
rotation basis and am usually off for an entire month or more at a
time, but when oil prices go up, I barely have any free time and am
on rig most of the time. I love my job and the opportunities it has
given me to provide for myself and others.
I also try and volunteer when I can. I have work with Best Buddies,
First Robotics and C.A.F.E. If you know what any of these are, you
should just message me now and get it over with.
I’m really good at
Trying new things and admitting when I don't know something. I have
had a lot of interesting experiences in my life and am always ready
to have new ones. I really enjoy expressing myself through art and
music. I can also throw down in the kitchen across the culinary
spectrum but, to me, if something doesn't have chili powder
somewhere in the meal, it probably isn't finished
The first things people usually notice about me
"Hey, that white boy can dance"
"Oh, man, I like that beard"
"Dude, awesome shirt"
"I really like your necklace"

Music: Damn near anything Screwed & Chopped; I'm a sucker for late 80s and 90s R&B (uh KC and Joe Joe anybody?); I like dubstep and electronica (but my DJ put me onto it like in 2008, so it isn't something new for me); A$AP Mob; Rob Zombie; RHCP; I will also listen to other, newer stuff.
Food: I make great sushi, sandwiches, pasta, barbecue, tacos salads and enjoy many things I'm not too great at making yet
The six things I could never do without
My cars: they're Subarus. If you think they're lame, save your
time. The four-cylinder boxter engine is amazing and so is standard
A pair of Timberland boots: just because.
A good utility knife: remember that time you needed one and all
your friends were lame. Never worry about a loose thread
My dog: he's adorable, afraid of water, and has an entire backseat
that is all his.
A good piece of fish: MMMMMM
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I am going to influence or improve the world around me
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm traveling for work, I'm passed out or monitoring well
If I'm traveling for fun or back home, "I shake life" or "turn up"
as it were. Maybe even some karate in the garage with my
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love cars with all my heart and can fix quite a few of the easier
mechanical things (like brakes), but I still don't know how to
drive a stick shift and would love for someone to teach me.
You should message me if
You are a nerd or can appreciate one. But really if you think we would get along, new people are new experiences and those are awesome. Also, if you're not afraid to break down traditional gender roles society has artificially imposed on you. You're a feminist. More importantly: why not?
