My self-summary
Who am I, is that not the eternal question?

Well, I am pretty nerdy. I love board games.
And I pride from time to time in being a dork.
I look for amusement wherever I can find it.
I am strange, in a strange way and I cultivate my weirdness.

Also, if you think board games are boring, or somehow just weird? This is for you. :]

I recently moved to Edmonds to work at the Round the Table Gamer Pub. It's been a blast so far. I'm really happy to be working around people I like and with a subject I love.

I'm still looking for a passion in life, but my latest dream is to design games for tables.
Some of my fondest memories have been around a table with friends.

I like fiddling around with writing sometimes. Here's a thing I wrote.

Music!

Sing sweet, or sharp, play your song.
Summate for me feeling and thought.
Skills and verve to express gone long.
Speech that mine tongue hath forgot.

I like alliterations. :P
What I’m doing with my life
A few years ago, life went pear shaped, wibbly wobbly, turned into a bowl of petunias, and then several other things until stabilizing.

More recently than that, I have been working at the Round the Table Gamer Pub! http://www.rttgamepub.com/

Finding work in games has been something I've wanted to do for a long while, so I'm quite happy about what I've achieved so far.

Someone said that life is about the journey, more than the destination. Sometimes, I like to think that they are one in the same.
I’m really good at
I like board games. A vast, wide majority of them.

I was a math tutor for going on almost 4 years.

I can make horrible puns like the best of them. I have a perverse enjoyment of torturing English as far as I can take it. It might come from the idea that language itself is sort of a farce.

On a good day I'm a pretty ok vocalist. I like singing along to music and in the shower.

And sometimes I like to make funny voices when it's called for.
The first things people usually notice about me
The Bowler Hat. People see that first and usually from blocks away.

Side Note: I thought I wanted the hat when I was 12, and when I was 22 I finally decided on it and got one and never looked back.

I find it helps accentuate my ruggedly mansome features.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some Favorite Things:

Podcasts: Night Vale, SModcast, Shut Up And Sit Down.

Favorite Quotes: "Be excellent, to each other." "What doesn't kill you makes you stranger." "To paint the lily, to gild refined gold, to throw perfume on the violet... is just fucking silly... or something like that."
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I vary from thinking widely, to narrow, shallow to deep, always on a whim and probably more than I ought to.

Sometimes I'll see a picture or sign and I'll re-imagine it's meaning or message.

Sometimes something will inspire some curiosity, then that thought will spurn a series of tangential thoughts. Sometimes this leads me to writing an mini-essay for no one in particular.

Sometimes, I'll think of a joke, suddenly as if someone told it to me. This will occasionally give cause for some chuckles, questions, and weird looks.

I love it when that happens.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully sitting around a table with friends, sharing food and jokes.

Or perhaps, going out on a movie night an adventure around town.

I like to on occasion go admire some art and then after I am done with the admiration, give them the aforementioned amusing captions and admire them some more. But in a more humorous light.

If I'm not doing the above, I'm at home consuming media, such as a book, movie, or game. Or possibly trying to make something new in the kitchen.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am terrible at being conversational over texting. For whatever reason I just feel uncomfortable about small talking over texts.

I don't know why it is, but I'm a very different kind of conversationalist over text then I am over skype IM, phone, or in person.
I’m looking for
