My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

This profile now exists because I like how I wrote it. I am seeing a wonderful lady who is really quite something. So I am no longer available to date.

I start each day liking who I am and loving my existence, because it's a darn good one! It would not be inaccurate to say that I have an optimistic outlook on life and I try to stay positive no matter what the day may bring.

I have hobbies and friends that are great to hang out with and usually have a good book on the go. I have an amazing spawnling, he lives with his mom full-time but I see and spend time with him as often as I can. I love him very very much. He makes me smile and I love seeing him grow and learn.

I am a proud geek/nerd (to me they're about the same thing.) I'm a Humanist, an Ally, a feminist, a Nerdfighter, a life-long learner, a cool Dad and more than a few other outstanding things. I also love good music. Right now Daft Punk lives on my iPod. Like I said, life is pretty awesome.

I believe that when I meet the right person, we will multiply each others awesomeness. You see, if I'm a seven and you're an eight, we wouldn't merely add up to 15, we would multiply and end up 56 (to the power of infinite awesomeness!)

Through experience, some of the qualities I look for in a great match are:

-Women who are also nerdy/geeky, who are smart, passionate (about anything, about living!)

-Curious (Curiosity didn't kill the cat, it took Alice on the wildest ride of her life.)

-Artistically inclined/creative (this doesn't mean you have to draw, you could write fiction or poetry, craft, play guitar , anything!) Creative inclination of any type is excellent!

On top of those if you happen to wear glasses you may melt my heart and make me weak in the knees, but I've no doubt the right woman will do that regardless.

I want to meet someone I can learn from, who will introduce me to things I haven't yet seen, books or comics I haven't read and do things that I've never done. I hope I can do the same for her.

I want her to be my date to Comiccon.

Good luck and DFTBA (Don't Forget To Be Awesome!)

Oh and this is pretty much me...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
- Biding my time, looking for interesting places to volunteer as I'm going back to school in Sept. Very excited about that!

- Being a part-time dad to the best kid in the multi-verse;

- Hanging out with awesome people;

- I also run singles events and have a FB group for people in the Capital region to meet and connect:

- In addition I run nerdy singles events. They're a lot of fun!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Making people laugh,
-Public speaking,
-Being honest, but not being a jerk whilst doing so,
-Using ten dollar words
-Making awesome dinner!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My positive vibe, and my easy smile.

Or the hat.

Oh, and I'm aware that a lot of fedora-wearing fellows are MRA jerks. I'm not one of them. I just think I look darn good in a hat.

Help your potential matches find common interests.
I don't know what I would call my favourite in each category, but here are some things I like: (These lists are not exhaustive.)

Jim Butcher,
George Orwell,
Patrick Rothfuss,
Brent Weeks,
Peter V. Brett,
Scott Lynch,
Robert J Sawyer,
John Scalzi.

Movies; I don't watch a whole lot of movies, but some favourites include:
The Usual Suspects,
Spider-man, and Spider-man 2, (3 was an abomination and we don't talk about it!)
The Shawshank Redemption,
American Beauty,
12 Angry men
The classic Star Wars.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-along-blog,
Repo The Genetic Opera
The American President (really anything by Aaron Sorkin.)
Scott Pilgrim VS The World.

Also, all the Avengers line movies, well except Iron Man 2. I didn't hate it. I just didn't love it. And The Avengers was AWESOME!

Boston Legal,
The West Wing,
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,
Babylon 5,
Battlestar Galactica(new),
Doctor Who (also the new,)
Star Trek,
The Closer,
And of course the classics; Buffy and Angel!

Some of my favourite bands:
Breaking Benjamin,
Linkin Park,
Our Lady Peace,
Rise Against,
Daft Punk,
A Perfect Circle.

It seems like I'm always in search of my next aural addiction. I've also got some friends with great taste in music. So they can usually point me in the direction of something awesome as well!

Food: Well I'm pretty easy going. Though I do dislike most seafood; except Sushi, i love Sushi, can't get enough of it!

And a little add on of my own; I enjoy playing video games on my computer and Xbox 360 Some of my favorites include:
Mass Effect
Star Craft II
Gears of War
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Putting aside the obvious of food and shelter, family and friends etc...
*As much as it seemed like an aside; friends and family are, by the way, darn DARN important!

My Android
My bus pass
My Computer
Good books!

Bonus #7; This is one of those that both is and is not obvious: Good conversation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All manner of things.

Transhumanism. (Serious bonus points if you know what that is!)

And other various and sundry topics, ranging from surviving the coming zombie apocalypse, to economic policy and politics. I'm always up for some intellectual stimulation.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It depends. Usually unwinding somewhat after the work week and planning for a kick-ass weekend!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Part 1: I'm rather mortified to admit that for a very long time I had "alot" instead of "a lot" somewhere on my profile.

*hangs head in shame.*

Part 2: "It's a secret to everybody."

Finally, not really private but, I hope, amusing; I use "Batman" in place of "God" in conversation.

B, Or, you know, just because you want to.

C, Oh, and if you have glasses....I totally make passes at girls who wear glasses!

D, If you want to teach me how to play guitar.
