My self-summary
My name is Joe. I am 28 and work in the shipping industry.
I enjoy being outside and staying active. I played rugby for a local club but am currently on hiatus. I broke my left clavicle a little while back. Left me with a plate, several screws, a scar and a pretty good story. I also cycle, run and have recently started rock climbing. Kinda disappointed that I didn't discover that one earlier. It's awesome
I quote movies and tv randomly..I honestly do not know how much credit I deserve for most of the things that come out of my mouth..
I recently returned to work for the company that hired me right out of college. After going somewhere else and then coming back I can honestly say that working for a good outfit and enjoying your coworkers makes a huge difference. I love what I do for a living and I couldn't be happier with my career path at the moment. Ask me about it!!
I am loyal, excitable, passionate and fun loving. I am also quite touchy-feely and not afraid of being affectionate (Within reason, I won't molest you in public or anything..). The woman I am looking for is intelligent, active, funny, hard working. Pretty standard, I know. Wait for it...and here goes..She will also be ready for a relationship. I know it is strange for a man to ask for a woman that wants to commit but I have met a woman or two that just can't figure out what they want and it frustrates the hell outta me.
I am a pretty open book and am down for just about, dinner, ball game, whatever and I look forward to hearing from you. I love a woman that takes charge and isn't afraid of letting me know what they want so don't be shy..go for it!!
What I’m doing with my life
Working hard for the man...trying to find my partner in crime and move on to the next step
I’m really good at
I am truly good at talking to people and getting to know them. I find it easy to engage in casual conversation about whatever and I am a pretty good listener
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably that I am almost always smiling or making some weird random face. You can almost always read what's going on in my head by the expression on my face..And yes, it has been known to get me into trouble..
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Like most people I love John Grisham. I have also started the Dirk Pitt adventure series by Clive Cussler
Movies: I have a very eclectic taste in movies. As soon as you think that you have me figured out I throw something out there that totally screws it all up. Right off the top of my head I can list Fargo, Anchorman, Juno (Yes, I am a grown man that loves Juno. I know, I'm a bit embarrassed by it myself. Honestly, if I could find me a real life grown up Juno MacGuff I would be one happy camper) Arthur (both the Dudley Moore version from 1981 and the more recent Russel Brand version. Both are awesome in their own right) The Departed, Simon Birch, Oh Brother Where Art Though, etc.
Shows: I am not sure their is a sitcom on TV that I don't watch or at least have an opinion on. I love Castle, Bones, Community, Modern Family, Raising Hope (absolutely hilarious) and Parks and Recreation. Actually, I used to spend so much of my time watching TV that I let cable go last year. Now I catch everything online and have way more's much better
Music: Anything I can sing my heart out to..
Food: I'll eat anything.....americanized. Not the biggest fan of extra ethnic stuff but I am extremely open to suggestions...
The six things I could never do without
My outdoorsy stuff (Golf clubs, cycle, running shoes, climbing shoes, etc.)
My Brother and Sister. We look out for one another and I could not be the Man I am without their help
Health Insurance. Recently broke my collar bone. 'Nuff said
Seasons (How boring would our lives be if we were limited to doing the same things all year round and everyday felt the same outside?? Also, what would we talk about to pass the time with strangers and people we don't like or have anything in common with?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
People watching..Not thinking about people watching but watching people and thinking about it. And thinking about ways to explain this in a way that doesn't come off as creepy. And then thinking about how disappointed I am when I realize I can't. Wait, forget all that. I think a lot about sports. That's a pretty typical answer for a guy that women like, right??
On a typical Friday night I am
down for anything...I'm into all types of shenanigans
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I lied on my OkCupid profile about thinking about sports a lot..
