Hi! I moved to Minnesota about a year ago as part of my move- somewhere-you-haven't-been-before-without-knowing-anyone-that-lives-there project. I would like to expand my social circle or, failing that, at least be continually distracted by strangers.

I used to do conservation work; currently back in school for bio resource engineering so I learn and work on food/water issues in a less menial fashion . I hope to spread that knowledge around to help make the food system more fair and less wasteful -- even a little!

Volunteering with planned parenthood and Sister's Camelot.

Cooking from scratch. I also ferment foods (tempeh) and drink (beer, wine, cider). I've started hydroponic gardening and I've been trying to grow oyster mushrooms (haven't been able to get them fruit. Fungi just does what it wants!)
