My Self-Summary
I believe in love, but I also believe getting there is half the fun. I am looking for someone to spend time with doing...everything. The fun, the silly, the exciting, the intellectually stimulating. Elitches by day, theater or symphony-- or karoke or Comedy club by night. Or just a great dinner at home, reading talking or.... I believe in living intensely, feeling deeply, and being as honest as a person can possibly be. There's a lot more I could add, but why give everything away at once? ;-)
Please don't just "skim" the below-- you could miss something very important!!!
Update: The above was a cut and paste to get me on and active, but as I read other profiles I feel more comfortable putting more of me out here.
WARNING-- SEVERE NAVEL GAZING FOLLOWS: I am working through an interesting patch of identity formation-- that is, figuring out who I am. I have no question about most of my identity, but more about where I fit in the world. I identify as queer, given the polyamory (though open to some "modified" versions of monogamy re: play-- see the next thing following) and the kink aspects of my personality. I am certainly an ally of feminists and the GLBTQ communities. But questions remain-- can I call myself feminist as a male? Some say yes, some say no. Then there's the fact that my queer identity moves me out of the mainstream and into an exciting and yet occasionally uncomfortable place of voluntarily giving up privilege. And the fact that, while I am bi-sensual (i.e., I love male energy, camaraderie, have no problem with hugging and kissing the burliest bear on the block), I am not bi-sexual. So my queer identity moves me away from mainstream, but I wonder at times if my straight identity keeps me on the margins of queer-dom. Any conversations or comments about this would be most welcome.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies... Broad spectrum there, too. Dark Knight was awesome. Away from Her, Del Toro flicks, Kurasawa, The Descent, anything with Christpher Walken, Leaving Las Vegas, Amor Es Perros. Indie, foreign, horror.
Music-- just about everything. I don't like rap but I do lke Eminem's early stuff. Live classic rock and good new stuff-- Nickelback, Staind, Apocalyptica (metal played with 5 cellos). Bonnie Prince Billy, Iron and Wine, Woven Hand, Nina Nastasia, Tori, Sarah, Jewel. Old Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. Eclectic!!!
Food: I LOVE to cook. Greek food, German food, fancy food, finding new ideas. I love Sushi and just about all Asian. Le Central, McCormicks, and Mercury Cafe are some favorite restaurants. This is a topic I could talk about for DAYS!!!!!!!!!
