My Notes edit

My self-summary

Artistic, smartypants boy in the big city lookin' for love.

What I'm doing with my life

I'm a New York actor, writer, amateurish bongo player and karaoke god. I work at an office in midtown Manhattan for a day job, and I run out the door three times a day to go to auditions. I can't be 100% certain, but I just bet that this sort of behavior doesn't make my employers terribly happy. These days I'm writing sketch comedy, doing commercials and auditioning all over town. I moved from Philly to New York three years ago, and I've fallen head over heels for NYC. But their sports teams still suck. All of them. You heard me.

I'm really good at

Acting (if I do say so myself), writing, one-liners, fake accents, being generally cute n' cuddly, listening, carefully picking the words I say, karaoke and making mix CDs.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

My green eyes and my dry wit (it's so dry you could start a fire with it). Also, people tend to notice me when I'm onstage and they're in the audience.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(A) Books: John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut, Joseph Heller, Tom Robbins, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, P.G. Wodehouse, Woody Allen, Jonathan Safran Foer, Robert van Gulik, Colleen McCullough and J.K. Rowling.

(B) Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Batman Begins, A Hard Day's Night, Almost Famous (quite possibly my favorite movie EVER), Magnolia, Blazing Saddles, The Royal Tenenbaums, Spirited Away, The Incredibles, Fight Club, MASH, Superbad, The Big Lebowski (or is this my favorite?), Miller's Crossing, The Empire Strikes Back and There Will Be Blood.

(C) TV Shows: Lost, The Sopranos, Firefly, Red Dwarf, Black Adder, MTV's The State, Monty Python, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, The Daily Show, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Slings & Arrows, Battlestar Galactica, South Park, Mr. Show, Doctor Who. I avoid reality TV whenever possible, because ... ugh.

(D) Music: The Beatles (best band EVER), Sleater-Kinney, Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, David Bowie, Arcade Fire, Os Mutantes, Elliott Smith, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Fiona Apple, Richard Thompson, Queen, Prince, Beck, OutKast and The Roots.

(E) Theater: Measure for Measure, Macbeth, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Romeo and Juliet, Richard III, The Taming of the Shrew, The Importance of Being Earnest, August: Osage County, The 39 Steps, The Lady in Question, Anodyne, Hell Meets Henry Halfway, This Is Our Youth, Lebensraum, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Sweeney Todd, Red-Eye to Havre de Grace, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, Noises Off, Angels in America and A Streetcar Named Desire.

The six things I could never do without

My weekly planner, my cell phone, my career, a water bottle, music to listen to, human contact. Item #7 is coffee.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Work, sex, politics, pop culture and self-indulgent introspection in roughly equal amounts. Also, penguins and monkeys.

On a typical Friday night I am

Going out with friends, watching a play or running around my apartment getting work done. I've become far less productive since I joined Netflix.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

I'm allergic to cats.

You should message me if

You're artistic. Artistic chicks are HOT.

You're bold, extroverted and impressive. A sense of humor is good too.
