I'm somewhere left of normal (ok, people frequently call me weird, but usually in a good way). I believe in honor and loyalty but have no use for dignity. I've realized that happiness is a choice and I am determined to be happy. My life is a journey and I'm on it!

I currently work as a scenic carpenter at Long Wharf Theatre in downtown New Haven. My lifelong insistence on getting a job I loved and not only tolerated or survived has finally paid off.

Besides work, I have been training Brazillian Jiu Jitsu it's a huge part of my life and is what keeps me fit, active and leading a healthy life style. I am also coaching a high-school wrestling team this winter.

Building and fixing things.
Making people laugh.
Knowing a lot about whats going on in the world (or at least being very opinionated about it)
Being respectful of other peoples opinions.
Grappling sports
Fighting bears, and cybernetic robot shark cops.

My voice, It's big, it's loud, it can carry.

Books- Yup, I like 'em. I shoot for about 10 a year, actually read about 7. I have a lot of favorites. Currently reading Cloud Atlas.

Shows- don't watch a whole lot, . Battlestar Galactica is by far my favorite show ever. I'm also into Game of Thrones, South Park, Star Wars, The Daily Show, and a few others.

Movies- Kind of a movie buff, some may say snob. I can rarely stand a poorly crafted movie, but I love a good one. Some of my all time favorites are: American Beauty, Casablanca, and Clerks. I just saw Cloud Atlas which totally blew me away.

Music- I F***ing LOVE music. There are very few genres I can't stand (gansta rap, most modern country) but for the most part I love music, all of it. I don't even know what my favorites are anymore. I really enjoy questioning the logic of pop lyrics.

Food- Basically the same as music, I love it, most all of it. Sushi is a personal favorite, so is mexican, and middle eastern, and indian....... and thai..... and american..... Can't stand cheap processed/packaged food though.

The big questions, I can't help it. Who am I? Where is the world/society/country/human race going? What is the meaning of life? How can i meaningfully contribute to the world?

the past, the future, funny accents, what pop lyrics would sound like rearranged into Jeopardy questions.

Playing board games or catching a movie with friends.

You realize happiness is a choice and you have made the decision to be happy and see the brighter side of things.

Also if you know how to go with the flow, roll with the punches and come out the other side giggling.

You're looking for a friend to do things with like go to movies, go on hikes/walks/exploring or play games with (board/video/card, whatever as long as it's social)

Also, full disclosure. I'm in a long-term polyamorous relationship with a wonderful woman, who for many reasons happens to live 500 miles away at the moment. I'm here looking for friends, maybe more I'm not sure. If this bothers you, oh well, lets not waste each others time.
