Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't think of myself as someone who has favorites really. Ask me Tuesday and I'll have a different answer than I did on Sunday. I sure have a lot of preferences though. My curiosity is always piqued when someone says something about a book that changed their life. Some of the runners up for life changing authors for me are Tom Robbins (duh), Patrick Suskind, Hermann Hesse, P.K. Dick, John Kennedy Toole, Hunter Thompson, Twain, Burroughs, and James Stephens. Then of course there are the biographies, poetry books, photography books, coloring books, chap books...but let's not do that here. Let's not even talk about movies, which I love, or shows, which I watch too many of, or food for that matter. Why? Because it's all about the music. That's the color in my day, and likely it is for you too. Imagine life without The Beatles, Miles Davis, or My Morning Jacket. Where would we be without Radiohead, Ray Charles, and Pink Floyd? I wouldn't want to live in a world without Michael Jackson, Elliot Smith, or Nickelback... yeah, I'm kidding. Not that I judge mind you. I have some serious guilty pleasures. I will listen to the Brittany Spears Blackout album anytime. Tell me what you like, turn me on to something new. That would make my day.
