Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I currently live in San Francisco and have been here for around six
years. I grew up in Sonoma County, went to school at UCSC, lived in
San Diego for a year, swore I would never move to San Francisco,
then moved to San Francisco.
I majored in Sociology at UCSC, which I may as well have majored in

Enthusiasts for the effect it has on my current life.
I never wanted to live in SF as a kid because (please read the next
part in your best neurotic Jewish voice) the cars and the traffic
and the people and the noise and the rent and oy vey!
But then most of my favorite people in the world moved here, I
thought "Ah what the heck?", moved to SF, and have been here ever
since. Living here through two Giants' World Series will be
something I never forget. (Side note on that: who keeps old couches
around just to burn them in the street when their favorite athletic
club wins an important sporting title? Seems silly.)
Other highlights of living here: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Bay to
Breakers, burritos, having access to every kind of food, having
access to fresh produce, knowing most bands/comedians will have a
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
First off, I am opposed to the wording of this section. It sounds
like something an overbearing mother would say in Woody Allen
movie. "Bubbula, what are you doing with your life? Poppy worked
three jobs and went to night school to put food on the table for
Anyway, that aside, I am living in San Francisco and am a foreman
for a solar installation company.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am not in this to sit here and stroke my ego, so I don't think I
would personally claim to be "really good" at much of anything.
People who are "really good" at things are professional athletes,
chefs, and musicians. Until someone pays you to do something, you
are probably just "pretty good" at it, right?
I am alright at the drums. People seem to think I am pretty good at
cooking. I enjoy making things out of wood and metal fasteners
though rarely have the time. I have brewed some pretty decent
beers, though again, have not been super active on that front

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
2. Three way tie for boring, standard answers: Music, friends,
family (Is it bad that friends and family were placed below
burritos? Maybe I am just hungry as I type this)
3. 49ers (the athletic football competitors, not the historic
4. Good beer
6. Salsa (separate category from burritos. I say this because most
places in SF do NOT have salsa bars; many do not even have decent
Pico de Gallo. This is the real reason why the terrorists hate us.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend more time than I probably should thinking about the 49ers.
The internet is a very dangerous thing for people who may have a
moderate obsession with something. It is easy to spend hours
reading about and following that moderate obsession and, wouldn't
you know it, voila! You've got a full-blown obsession.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a typical Friday I am likely in the mood to get home, complain
about work for a couple minutes*, drink a beer, rent a movie, grab
some Chinese, and hit the sack early. Or, you know, drink until I
black out. One or the other.
*Don't take this to mean I am a sad sack that hates my job; I like
my job, but there is always that one task or one interaction or one
crappy worker that just really demands a good ol'-fashioned bitch
