I am open-minded, adventurous, and fun.

My Self-Summary

So here's the deal. I've been thinking recently about my profile and about really nailing down what I'm about and I think I've had an epiphany. Or maybe it was some bad clams... I guess only time will tell.

I have a lot of interests of varying degrees of importance... some of them even vitally important to who I am and what I'm about... but I think only one thing can really be considered my true passion, and that's this weird innate desire I have to make the world a better place.

Now, you may be thinking "aw... that's nice." or "jeez, what a pussy" or maybe rolling your eyes and lamenting the cheesiness and corniness in the world and the suckers like me who spew stuff like this. But if you understand then you understand.

I want people to be happy is I think what it boils down to. Almost everybody. Except maybe the real douche bags. But everyone else I'd like to see make the most of their lives and be happy and fulfilled and see life in the proper perspective of what's important and what shit really isn't important at all. I want at-risk kids to reach their full potential and not become statistics. I want "normal" kids and people to understand that there's more to life than acquiring stuff and then acquiring newer stuff to replace the stuff you recently acquired. I want people in 3rd world countries to have the resources they need to be happy & healthy. Although I gotta say, from my travels I think they often understand what's really important and are happier than most well-to-do americans. It's about family (blood or otherwise) and community and people being there for each other. And I try to be that change that I want to see in the world.

Ok, sorry for the preaching, I just got on a roll.

Now, what's also important to me is to have fun and enjoy life. Some people who are into saving the world are great, but they just don't know how to have a good time. Way too serious. Sometimes I just like to be stupid and mindless. Drink till I can't see straight and I find myself standing on a table belting out Bon Jovi to the music. Embarrassing yes, and not my usual musical choice, but who among you hasn't sung along loudly to "living on a prayer"? Come on, admit it.

Other interests of vital importance to me... traveling and exploring the world and all it has to offer. Exploring myself and finding out all I'm capable of and what really makes me tick. Exploring those stereogram pictures because I've never been able to see the f*&ing picture hidden in them. True story. Basically, I'm an explorer. At least I am when I'm able to overcome inertia.

Other interests... music, skiing, hiking, being outdoors, being barefoot in the grass, quoting obscure movie lines, bloody mary brunches, good food, bad food, going to the beach, walking around nyc, sports, poker, expanding my mind, having real and interesting conversations, singing in the shower, dancing in the moonlight, playing nik nak on my knee, just having good times with friends - old and new.

Ok, have I babbled enough? I think I probably have.

Also, I have a shutterfly page with more pics of me and I'll be happy to give the link.

That's all. PEACE, I'M OUTA HERE!!

What I’m doing with my life
