I enjoy time with my friends, but seriously enjoy my downtime. I love to eat out at great restaurants, but also like to cook at home. I like to travel to other countries, but also find adventure right here in NYC (Flushing being my favorite destination). I appreciate good architecture and love walking around the city. I could squeeze good books so tight I love them so much. I am very outdoorsy and have to get my fill on the weekends, usually upstate. I am up for most things, as long as at some point they involve good food.

I have always spent a lot of time planning the next step in my life - going to grad school, getting a job, looking at apartments to buy, etc - but at least for right now, I am just enjoying where I am with no major future plans. Unless you call seeing every movie nominated for an Oscar a major future plan. Because I am pretty serious about that.

Making to-do lists. Those lists are probably why I have a job.

Books - Favorite ones change regularly especially in the winter when I read too many. Most recently, Room and The Imperfectionists. Let the Great World Spin, Motherless Brooklyn and Netherland were great. My long time favorite book is A Thousand Acres.

Movies - I liked Silver Linings Playbook a lot. I have been watching more TV shows lately - Homeland, Modern Family, House of Lies.

Music - My life-long music love is classic hip hop, but I also like bands like Avett Brothers, Arcade Fire, Band of Horses and MGMT. I still listen to the same music I did in high school - Joni Mitchell, Joan Armatrading, Otis Redding, Bob Marley - and it still moves me deeply.

Food - I will try anything, but nothing is better than a pizza from New Haven, CT, my hometown.

Wiped out from the week. A glass of wine and a cheese plate are about all I can handle.
