My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Modern, multi-ethnic and...mighty fine. I really wanted to aliterate that first part.

I guess what you really need to know is that I am a jovial, passionate, sociable individual who also really like locking himself indoors for 24 hour periods and binging on pop-culture.

I just found out that I love gin cocktails. Did you know Hemingway was a martini drinker? David Wain too.

My favorite place in Chicago is The Music Box.

Other things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I did my 20's in reverse. After high school I worked, made some money, landed what I thought was my dream job and now I'm finishing my last year of college studying new media so I can better write and produce games and interactive media.

I also work at a startup and host a podcast.

Also also trying to run at least five times a week so I can retune this bod to its former glory.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Inspiring laughter.

Riffing on a joke for much longer than I should.

Expressing my self with mouth words.

Listening.

Naming that movie.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I dunno . . . nostrils?

Movies: American auteurs like Paul Thomas Anderson and the Cohens. I've also been known to dabble in Japanese new wave, French new wave, and absurdist comedies.

TV: Fargo, Game of Thrones, Broad City, Nathan for You

Music: I read pitchfork and take it semi-seriously.

Books: My favorite author is probably Haruki Murakami. Some other favorites are Invisible Man (Ellison), House of Leaves, The Great Gatsby, For Whom the Bell Tolls.

Games: I usually go for narrative driven games but have lately been getting into experimental, "artsy" stuff. The Last of Us might be my favorite game of all time and just hearing the music makes me tear up. Lately I've also enjoyed Gone Home, Kentucky Route Zero, The Binding of Isaac and other titles that run on my six year old Mac Mini.

I recently decided I don't like salmon. Will eat pretty much anything else.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Tea

Pop culture

Hmmmm

Just those two, three times each.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ludonarrative dissonance.

Why Chicago pizzerias insist on cutting their pies into tiny squares instead of triangular slices like normal people.

My next tattoo. It's not that I'm super obsessed with tattoos or anything. It just takes me a long time to decide.

The future.

What people think they're gaining by saying they don't watch tv as if there's some major distinction between watching broadcast television and Netflix.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Aghast.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

The prospect of having a conversation that is simultaneously thought provoking and littered with borderline offensive tangents sounds intriguing.

You're down to try a new restaurant or see a weird movie.

You're a female gamer who wants to cohost a podcast about bad games. Seriously, we need a female voice to round out the panel.
